The following are the core responsibilities of the Administrator. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels: a. Process new patient registrations b. Ensure all referral documentation is complete from beginning to end and submitted in a timely manner Understand the process of each referral and the avenue required to ensure successful completion of referral. Serve as a point of contact for patients, addressing enquiries and providing information as needed regarding referrals. taking ownership of the referrals in ensuring completion from start to finish such as checking rejections and responses to allocate to the correct department. Correspondence Handling: manage correspondences with healthcare providers, patients, and other relevant parties regarding patient care and referrals Ensure all communications from different healthcare providers, practice staff and patient are documented and filed appropriately.
