The incumbent serves as a Transportation Assistant - Transportation Coordinator acts as primary contact to Veterans for transportation needs. The incumbent works with the Veteran Transportation Service (VTS) Supervisory Mobility Manager for transportation workload forecasting, scheduling design, procedure development, and quality improvement implementation, modification of processes, evaluation, and ongoing operational flow of the Veteran Transportation Services program. Duties:
The attending anesthesiologist is charged with delivering the best possible anesthesia care to our Veteran inpatients and outpatients. This care must be delivered in accordance with hospital policy and must meet community standards.

The attending anesthesiologist performs pre-operative and pre-procedural anesthetic risk assessment. Evaluation includes obtaining relevant history, performing physical exam, reviewing vital signs, lab values and all other relevant diagnostic studies prior to surgery. Appropriate notes are written in the patient's medical record.

The attending anesthesiologist provides direct anesthesia services including the administration of anesthetic agents, performance of procedures including but not limited to

peripheral IV placement, arterial catheter placement, central venous catheter placement, and placement of related invasive and non-invasive monitoring devices.

The attending anesthesiologist participates in the Anesthesia pre-operative assessment clinic.
The attending anesthesiologist supervises CRNAs in provision of anesthesia team care.
