A Full time 10 PA Inpatient Specialty Doctor Post to a female 22 Bed acute Mental health Ward

The role involves helping the consultant psychiatrist with daily tasks such as participation in ward reviews, mental health act paperwork and Tribunal related work. Supporting the junior doctors on the team alongside wider MDT working.

There are ample opportunities for career growth and development. It is expected that successful applicants participate in departmental management and clinical governance.

Alongside other senior trainees within the department the successful applicant will be expected to provide leadership and support to junior doctors within the department.

The post involves Inpatient service based on North Ward, Irwell unit single sex Female ward 22 beds capacity. The doctor will join a friendly, well-established inpatient working Age Psychiatry Service which altogether includes one full-time Consultant, one full-time speciality doctor and at least two trainee doctor-a GP trainee and an FY2 dr . The team works closely with CMHT sectors the EIT team and Home treatment team.

This is a Band 6 community mental health nurse role working within Older adult services in Bury. This role involves responsibilty for providing interventions to identified clients in a community setting, involving severe and enduring mental health issues and particularly challenging and complex cases.

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to make a full time appointment for a Speciality Doctor to work in the well-established Mental Health Liaison Team based at Fairfield Hospital Bury. This is a substantive appointment. The appointee will have a role in consolidating the developments that have occurred within this service recently helping the service continue to develop in order to meet the ‘Core 24’ standards defined by the Department of Health.

The progression post is a new and exciting role within the Community Mental Health team. We are looking to support a newly qualified registered mental health practitioner join the team as a Band 5 Practitioner, working through competencies set out by Health Education England, Mental Health Nursing Competence and Career Framework. To enable them to progress to a band 6 role. This will be offered on a fixed term 24month contract, with the option to extend with an agreed time frame if required. If the progression to Band 6 cannot be completed within the agreed time frame, consideration of remaining at Band 5 could be given on a permanent basis.

A Full time 10 PA Inpatient Specialty Doctor Post to a female 22 Bed acute Mental health Ward

The role involves helping the consultant psychiatrist with daily tasks such as participation in ward reviews, mental health act paperwork and Tribunal related work. Supporting the junior doctors on the team alongside wider MDT working.

There are ample opportunities for career growth and development. It is expected that successful applicants participate in departmental management and clinical governance.

Alongside other senior trainees within the department the successful applicant will be expected to provide leadership and support to junior doctors within the department.

The post involves Inpatient service based on North Ward, Irwell unit single sex Female ward 22 beds capacity. The doctor will join a friendly, well-established inpatient working Age Psychiatry Service which altogether includes one full-time Consultant, one full-time speciality doctor and at least two trainee doctor-a GP trainee and an FY2 dr . The team works closely with CMHT sectors the EIT team and Home treatment team.





This is an exciting time to join the Trust and there are opportunities to contribute to the organisations' development including service redesign involving more integrated models of person centred care for our local community. Bury has a very strong teaching commitment and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the teaching of both mental health and non-mental health staff. Irwell Unit - North and South ward are recruiting now!

We are currently recruiting for our male and female inpatient wards (single sex). We are currently seeking to recruit band 5 staff nurses on a permanent contract to complement the staffing team that is already in place. You will be part of a thriving ward which is committed to providing a high level of quality care to the patients they work with.

South ward is a 22 bedded male acute ward based in Bury at Fairfield General Hospital. Within the team on South ward, we have a range of nursing experience working with us from senior nurses, staff nurses, and Healthcare Support Workers. We have an inpatient Consultant Psychiatrist who is dedicated to only South ward and they are supported by a staff grade, GP trainee and Foundation Year Doctor. We also have a Psychologist that covers both our inpatient wards and they are very keen to be involved in patient Psychosocial work and trauma informed care. We currently have 2 Occupational Therapists who cover our wards to support patients in their progress from hospital to the home environment.



You will be involved in provide a high level of safe and effective care. Be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care, adhere to all Trust policies, procedures and guidelines, and liaise with the multidisciplinary team Provide mentorship to others





We are very keen to develop Quality Improvement within our inpatient services. We have recently completed a QI project with the Royal College of Psychiatry around Sexual Safety and were very successful in implementing changes to our wards to ensure that sexual safety was maintained for our staff and patients. We are currently finalising a QI project to reduce violence and aggression and looking forward to finalising this project very soon, we also restrictive practice lead who work with our inpatient staff to ensure that the least restrictive option is always explored and educating the team and patient around restrictive practice.

Job Summary

The post holder will provide occupational therapy assessment, treatment, and review of service users who experience serious/enduring mental illness. The post holder will work across two adult inpatient wards (one female and one male). You will be expected to use your own initiative and clinical skills to plan and carry out treatment, run treatment groups, and contribute to the MDT management and treatment of our service users. To be responsible for assessing, treating, and evaluating patients referred specifically for OT intervention from our adult inpatient services.
Assess to determine the need for longer-term support (e.g., referral to CMHT) under the Care Act 2014.
