The Nuffield Health Plymouth Hospital is situated next to the Nuffield Health Devonshire Gym, in Derriford, Plymouth and we have been part of the Plymouth community since 1971. We have 3 main theatres - 2 laminar flow and 1 digital, a fully JAG accredited endoscopy suite, a 35-bedded ward with one 4 bedded bay and one 2 bedded bay. As a Theatre Scrub Practitioner at our Cambridge Hospital, you'll be registered with the appropriate governing body. You have the qualifications and experience that are relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. Plus, you bring post-registration experience, flexibility and excellent communication skills. You're also a great team worker.

Driver

Nuffield Health Cambridge HSSU Hub | Sterile Services Unit | Permanent | Full Time
Up to £24,613.68 per annum, depending on experience

37.5 hours per week - plus 1 Saturday per month in a split shift as overtime

Our Hospital Sterile Services Unit (HSSU) transports sterile and disinfected surgical equipment to our local hospital network. If you have a full driving license with a C1 entitlement which allows you to drive rigid vehicles up to 7.5 tons Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) and hold a digital tachograph card, you could enjoy the benefits of joining the UK's largest Healthcare Charity.

A full Driver Qualification card (CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is advantageous but full training is available.

As a Driver on our Cambridge HSSU Hub team, you're comfortable with manual handling and happy to move transport trolleys weighing upwards of 250kg. As well as a basic knowledge of current driver hour legislation, you ideally hold a driver digital tachograph card. You'll be a great ambassador for our unit and our customers' first point of contact.

As a Driver, you will:

• Collect and make deliveries by van or car to customers, driving 5.2T vehicles.

• Receive and check deliveries of medical devices from customers.

• Help keep equipment in good working order and report any faults.

• Keep a clean, tidy work environment and identify stock issues as they arise.

• Maintain accurate tachograph records and documentation.

• Be flexible with your working hours (shifts operate between 2am and 9pm, Monday to Friday with varying times on Saturdays).
