This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in generating insight to inform NHS England and NHS Improvement strategies and policies, and to help shape and drive the use of insight across the NHS to support the provision of care.

In partnership with senior colleagues within the Insight and Voice team, you will lead the team to deliver the programme of quantitative insight. We are looking for a candidate with a proventrack record working in and understanding of delivering quantitative insight programmes, ideally including to support the production of Official Statistics. Experience of delivering these for andin the health sector is also highlydesirable.

The successful candidate will also have robust skills in bringing stakeholders together in the design and delivery of policy. The post holder will have responsibility for leading a team and therefore will need to demonstrate their ability to operate and manage a team to deliver programmes with competing priorities and within a political environment.

Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) is a core function of the NHS and is a statutory requirement of the Civil Contingencies Act (CCA) 2004. Responding to emergencies is a key requirement within the NHS Act (2006). The role of NHS England in EPRR relates to potentially disruptive threats outlined in the National Security Risk Assessment and leading the NHS response, as required, during emergency situations. These are wide ranging and may be anything from extreme weather conditions to infectious disease outbreaks, a major transport accident or a terrorist incident.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an NHS Resilience Officer in the NHS Resilience Team. The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering key elements of the work programme.

Responsibilities include:

· Support the Resilience team in delivering the operational implementation of national EPRR policies.

The Planning function within the team includes wider System Resilience, leads on the planning for national events and hosts the National Operations Centre and Business Support functions.

The team has responsibility for all NHS England commercial activity for 3rd party spend, across all areas of the commercial lifecycle including Market Management, Commercial Strategy, Procurement, Contract Management and Strategic Supplier Relationship Management. The scale of the team is significant with responsibility for over 4,400 live contracts with a total lifetime value of over £14bn and a pipeline of over 2,000 procurements with estimated values of over £11bn. As part of the procure construction framework team, you will be responsible for delivering an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well-co-ordinated technical support service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation.

Your focus will be developing with the Principle supply Chain Partners and wider NHSE team innovative solutions in construction to support consistency of approach for Trusts, best practises and processes for better project delivery outcomes. This includes reviewing and providing comment on technical policy documents in development by NHSE.

About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the North East and Yorkshire Regional team within NHS England for a Chief Nurse. The Finance and Planning Directorate in NHS England is looking for talented, diverse, highly motivated people. TheFinancial Systems and Services Teamis now recruiting anAssistant Accountant – Finance Systems Technical Support. We;

· work closely with government to agree NHS funding;

· ensure the NHS lives within its annual budget set by Parliament;

· decide how to distribute the funding to the different NHS services and parts of England;

· support innovative programmes that improve the care and experience of NHS patients or people using NHS services;

· set out the financial and performance priorities the NHS should be delivering each year;

· report how much the NHS has spent on providing services each year;

· explore how the NHS can make the best use of its money;

· look at how spend on building or equipment can improve the care and experience of people using NHS services.

· consider how nationally we use these resources to improve healthcare outcomes, reduce inequality, improve health and support the NHS.

As theAssistant Accountant - Finance Systems Technical Support youwill work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective servicesupporting managers and staff across CFO directorate, NHS England organisation and wider NHS.

The team offershigh profile, fast-paced projects. This requires adaptability, rigor and innovation and provides exciting development opportunities for those developing their careers in the NHS, health or the public sector.

· Provide a high level of customer service to the organisation in relation to the Financial and Accounting system, including support to resolve customer queries.

· Have a good working knowledge of the finance systems to provide the business with effective training and support on the use of the systems.

· Support the identification, development and testing of systems changes needed by the organization, ensuring they are in line with agreed policy and guidance.

· Contribute to ensuring the Financial and Accounting systems are available and support resolution of any business technical system issues.

· Support current technical processes and advise colleagues how best practice might be adopted in the use of these processes. Contribute to the continuous improvement of these processes and assist in the delivery of identified improvements.

· Provide cross team support to ensure the delivery of the objectives of the wider Finance team.
