The Director of Estates Optimisation will be responsible for representing the Trust in relation to estates optimisation across the Kent and Medway Integrated Care System (ICS), Integrated Care Board (ICB) and
the Health and Care Partnerships (HCPs). Accountable to the Trust executives, the post holder will operate as a member of the senior management team, responsible for creating, maintaining and executing an

The postholder will be responsible for representing the Trust in relation to estates optimisation across the ICS and H&CPs. This Finance Director/Senior Manager will oversee all finance activities for Teledyne LeCroy’s Test and Measurement Group. Primary activities include providing financial analysis and counsel to multiple vice presidents and general managers regarding business results and actual performance against plans and forecasts in a multi-facility/multi-division global environment.

• This individual will have overall responsibility for preparing financial statements, reports and analysis for our business. This individual will prepare and maintain a complete set of financial statements which includes a balance sheet and related financial reporting information including a profit and loss statement, summary of cash flows and supplemental financial information.
• Additionally, this individual will be responsible for preparing the annual business plans, monthly forecasts and capital budgeting, as well as oversee the financial statements prepared for other affiliates within Teledyne’s T&M Group.
• Works closely with assigned vice presidents and general managers in the areas of financial and business reporting to include: proactive analysis of business trends, forecasting and budgeting, government proposals and reporting requirements and working capital management.  Partner with VPs and General Managers in developing, monitoring and evaluating overall corporate strategy with emphasis on top and bottom line performance and maximizing working capital and cash flows. 
• Prepare quarterly finance and business updates alongside Teledyne LeCroy Management; participates in the quarterly OPS Review with Teledyne’s executive management.
• Identify, analyze, and implement initiatives in support of 80/20 metrics and goals.
• Actively participate in the ERP/IT system implementation project. T&M is consolidating several IT systems into one IT system. Additionally, drive the change management of the business processes to support this initiative.
• Establish, maintain and document strong internal control processes meeting Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance requirements. Ensure internal controls are functioning effectively across the group.  Communicate with internal and external auditors as required.
• Develop and train financial staff to ensure accounting records and financial reporting is prompt, accurate and meets business requirements. Motivate and lead a high performance Finance Team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the management and finance team; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to their management career development program.  Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment. 
• Establish and maintain a set of key financial performance indicators for prompt decision-making.

The U.S. Consumer business at Bank of Montreal has been transformed with the recent acquisition of Bank of the West. We are now on a multi year journey to modernize and scale the US Consumer business with an aspiration to significantly grow over the next few years. We are seeking a Managing Director to join the U.S. Consumer Risk team. This is people leadership position within the 2nd line of defense, which will report into the Head of U.S. Consumer Risk and will be responsible for providing independent risk oversight over the various lines of businesses. The incumbent should be a strategic thinker with sound business acumen and a passion for using advanced data and analytics to make business decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to continue evolving the risk management framework, 2nd line control and oversight processes and discipline around consumer lending as BMO pivots towards a Category 3 bank in US. The incumbent will work closely with heads of the businesses and staff groups to fulfill the growth vision and ensure adequate controls are in place to meet the risk appetite for the business. • Provides independent risk oversight of the consumer lending businesses in U.S. P&BB, ensuring credit risks are appropriately and prudently managed within the risk tolerance for this business.

• Ensures the quality, performance, and credit risk profile of the U.S. P&BB retail portfolio are monitored and reported to Senior Executive, management committees, and RMC on a timely basis.

• Provides transparency and insight into the bank’s risk appetite to enable the business unit to understand and optimize risk return trade-offs within enterprise risk tolerances, while reinforcing the principle that business units are accountable for all their risks.

• Presents value-added risk context, oversight of credit risk systems, models, scorecards, credit exception underwriting, return on capital risk assessments to support strategic business planning and new product development risk assessment.

• Acts as the risk stripe owner for consumer credit risk in the U.S. and provides the required leadership and strategic direction. Executing within the constraints defined in Corporate Policies and Corporate Standards, approves, and recommends scorecards, approves credit underwriting exceptions for all consumer credit transactions for U.S. P&BB, approves and recommends automated adjudication, and approval of new products or processes related to consumer lending.

• Ensures Bank’s credit risk taking policies, authority structures, procedures and processes are adhered to through direct involvement in credit transaction authorizations and portfolio management processes.

• Directs the development and implementation of proper quantitative reporting and analytic tools and processes across all U.S. Consumer loan portfolios. Leads, synthesizes, and communicates the analysis of data to proactively identify and understand the drivers of portfolio risk, and forecast portfolio performance.

• Works with key executives within ERPM, and the U.S. P&BB Consumer/Wealth Management line of business, to direct the quality, performance, and respective credit risk profile of this significant business segment. Interfaces closely with other consumer credit risk roles within ERPM. Serves as primary point of contact for the line of business in all related product initiatives and discussions pertaining to setting the optimal risk appetite by providing independent risk oversight and ensuring that growth initiatives are optimized for profitability; both risk and return.

• Ensures the documentation and delivery of accurate, concise reporting of levels and trends in material risks, emerging risks, asset quality, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and risk limits. Defines Consumer credit risk strategies and ensures credit risk-related operating procedures are consistent across all Consumer portfolios, and in alignment with applicable policies and standards. Mandate:

Reporting directly to the Head of Tactical & Accrual Trading, the PM is expected to be market focused; develop and execute trading strategies in various fixed income sectors; take calculated proprietary risk and make effective trading decisions within the context of the strategic investment plan as set forth by the business heads and leads of Global Markets.

The PM should have a background in quantitative or technical analysis with a particular focus in liquid markets. The PM should have an established trading/investment strategy within the space while bringing a proven track record from similar proprietary risk taking experiences. Strategies or Asset Classes may include, but are not limited to:

• US Treasuries or Other Government Bonds
• Fixed Income Spread Products
• Derivatives (i.e. interest rate based or other)
• Volatility Based Strategies
• FX

The PM is accountable for developing and implementing portfolio strategies which achieve target risk and return profiles for the Global Markets Investment and Liquidity Portfolio’s. These strategies can cross multiple fixed income asset classes, and span the capital stack in terms of liquidity and credit risk. The role requires a deep understanding of fixed income investing and demands a focus for optimizing a portfolio based on ongoing market conditions.

The role is expected to work closely with all Global Markets teams, and with the other Investment PM’s in ensuring both macro and idiosyncratic risk is aligned globally, however the individual PM is responsible for their own risk sleeve and mandate. This person is expected to maximize profit while prudently minimizing the bank’s exposure for liquidity needs and adhering to regulatory statutes. The role is expected to work closely with Internal and External clients and partners. This includes working closely with risk/product control to ensure all investing strategies adhere within the defined guidelines.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience with quantitative (or technical) based investment strategies, including designing and implementation of such strategies.  
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in trading and managing risk within Fixed Income markets, preferably in a proprietary or direct investment decision capacity role.
• Ability to cultivate relative value and trading ideas across Fixed Income asset classes which are executed using prudent risk management.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in financial services, accounting or legal fields.
• Must successfully complete the external regulatory exams, licenses required to be considered a registered member and senior officer of the firm.
• Having some knowledge of North American and International investment banking business and regulations is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of credit issues and industry trends in various client sectors throughout the US, Canadian and International market.
• Support the execution of operational/tactical strategies for the trading business which will ensure achievement of short and long term objectives in the Canadian and U.S. marketplaces.
• In depth knowledge of credit derivatives and interest rate derivatives.
• Hedge accounting and accrual accounting familiarity would be a plus but not required
• Results oriented and able to adapt to situations quickly.
• Strong ability to think conceptually and to achieve both short and long term business results.
• Highly developed written and oral communication.
• Personable and able to function in a team environment.

Compensation:

$150,000 to $175,000

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. Qualifications:

• Post-secondary degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Mathematics/Statistics
• CFA / FRM would be an asset
• Deep knowledge of US, Canadian and International corporate finance and credit markets (e.g. lending, private credit, structured credit) including investment banking, lending practices, syndication / origination process, credit documentation, lending operations and regulatory best practices
• Knowledge of credit and capital management issues and industry trends in various client sectors throughout the US, Canadian and International market.

• Significant deal structuring or credit portfolio management experience
