Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA) is looking for a network blood sciences manager. EPA has Abbott Alinity instruments in each of the laboratories it serves. Within chemistry there is a thriving immunology and toxicology section. Along with University of East Anglia we operate Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals Calcium and Bone Metabolism Service a supra-regional bone marker service.

A long established network Eastern Pathology Alliance (EPA) is now over 10 years old and is a Hub and Spoke Network encompassing three Acute Trusts formed in 2013: The Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital (Hub), the James Paget University Hospital, Great Yarmouth (spoke) and The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn (spoke). 1. This post is at a senior corporate level of responsibility within the Trust and the post holder will act as deputy to the Deputy Director of Finance - Financial Services & Accounting as necessary.
2. The post holder will have line management responsibility for specific levels of staff in the financial services section of the finance department.
3. The post holder will be responsible for the services of accounts payable, accounts receivable and all matters concerning payroll.
4. The postholder will be responsible for upholding financial governance policy and procedure.
5. The postholder will be responsible for the management of the Trusts authorisation procedures by the management of the authorised signatories list. This will involve ensuring that all transactions are appropriately authorised prior to their action.
6. The post holder will be responsible for the production of timely, consistent and accurate financial reporting.
7. The postholder will be responsible for cash management and all banking duties.
8. The postholder will be responsible for all taxation matters including VAT and liaison with HMRC.
9. To advise and assist the Deputy Director of Finance - Financial Services & Accounting for all financial controls. To ensure controls are implemented and followed.
10. The post holder will provide financial advice and information to the Deputy Director of Finance - Financial Services & Accounting and Director of Finance.

Head of Claims Oversight and Assurance

This role can be based in the Norwich or London offices with Hybrid working.

We will rely on you to:

• Lead the review, implementation and embedding of the department wide line1 risk and compliance framework.
• Lead the Governance and Oversight team including the matrix reporting of Assurance team members in the Centre of Excellence
• Responsibility and oversight of Conduct Tasks, including but not limited to the logging, monitoring and reporting of:

• Complaints (both FCA eligible / non-eligible)
• Breaches and Incidents (both material and non-material)
• EDD Reports (Enhanced Due Diligence findings from Financial Crime team)
• Personal Conflicts of Interest

Monitoring of any trends and themes relating to Risks and Conduct Tasks, including:

• Carrying out root cause analysis into the proximate cause for any patterns emanating from Conduct Tasks
• Addressing any training gaps / Lessons Learned as required and evidencing that this has been done.

Design and Overall responsibility and oversight of Technical Tasks, including oversight of team members who deal with:

• Template building, updates and changes.
• Completion of File Reviews and CFP checks throughout BM.
• Addressing of Lessons Learned, picking up ad-hoc audits / reviews and responding to ad-hoc requests as necessary.

Key point of contact in respect of:

• Sanctions escalations
• Remedial action and information relating to complaints / incidents / breaches.
• Workday / “light” HR and people managing queries.
• Line 2 and Line 3 requests
• Offshoring governance

• Design the control framework for process improvement, including process definition and approval regime to ensure we work towards a one-way same way approach to Claims Operations
• Ensure the adherence to Group wide Risk and Compliance policies are met through an adequate control environment.
• Seek to escalate and improve group policies if they create local gaps in the control environment.
• Contribute to the design of an appropriate learning curriculum to ensure staff understand and are trained on their obligations within their role.

The Trust is looking to recruit a Digital Business Relationship Manager to join an established team working across the organisation to translate business/ operational requirements into Digital solutions.

This role drives the interface between our operational business and the Digital team. You will be the key link between IT services and identify future requirements to support the operational business. You will act as the customer advocate.

Work with an assigned list of departments and stakeholders to capture and update the Trusts Digital Demand Tracker. Support the development of investment business cases. Measure/ quantify return on investments and benefit realisation.

The Trust is mid way through a 5 year Digital Transformation which includes implementation of a new electronic patient record system, IP based telephony system, new emergency control room systems and data lake.

The BRM works with senior level management Band 8, 9 and VSM level to develop a technology strategy that is integrated with IM&T and across all Directorates.
The BRM proactively serves as a trusted advisor – even a partner – and is a primary IT point of contact for executives and management. They operate as a key business contact representing IT in promoting Digital services and capabilities

Acting as a single point of contact for the Trust and wider System Partners as the gatekeeper for new Digital Requirements or substantive changes to existing Digital Systems. Identifying opportunities to align business requirements to existing Digital capabilities. Supporting the Trusts automation first and Digital sustainability agendas.

The following skills and experience will be required and are essential for the successful candidates: Maintain the system for the control of all capital expenditure; ensuring this is up-to-date and accurate. Maintain the Trusts asset register ensuring that there is a full audit trail. Prepare year-end capital information for inclusion in the final accounts. Prepare reports on the position of the capital programme. Maintain financial records in respect of the PFI contract for the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Assist the Head of Financial Services and Finance Manager in ad-hoc projects and development initiatives as required. Produce summary information for inclusion in the Trust Boards monthly integrated performance report. Assist in the preparation of monthly returns to the Trusts regulator - NHS Improvement. Assist in the preparation of other financial returns as required. Reconcile control accounts on a monthly basis, and ensure that all outstanding items are cleared, with full explanations on reconciling differences.
