We are looking for a Respiratory Apprentice to join our excellent team at CUH Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Ely.

The Respiratory Physiology team at the CDC work alongside the CUH Lung Function Department to provide a diagnostic service of respiratory function tests to both CUH outpatients and the local community via a Direct Access service for GPs.

CDCs have been developed across the country with the aim of providing diagnostic testing to the patients closer to home and to reduce waiting times for the tests required. Therefore, the development of the CDCs brings new infrastructure and equipment to keep up with the demand. Pathways for GP access respiratory tests have been developed and are being implemented with high uptake expected.

The respiratory service at the CDC offers a wide range of services including full pulmonary function tests (PFTS), reversibility, FeNO, spirometry, field walk tests and overnight oximetry.

The post holder will be working full time within the respiratory service for the full training period. The apprentice will receive a minimum of 20% off the job training which will allow completion of e-learning, assignment writing and evidence collection, the other 80% will be on the job education where they will be expected to support service delivery under supervision.

The main duties would include but not limited to:

- Perform and report a range of basic pulmonary function tests on a wide variety of patients.

- Perform calibration and quality control procedures on all laboratory equipment.

- To maintain accurate clinical records.

- To contribute to team and service development.

What Will You Be Doing?

The role will be hybrid working with time based in our Head Office in Skipton where you will be using your experience and knowledge to speak to customers who are struggling to make payments to their mortgage and discussing solutions and next steps.

You’ll be handling both inbound and outbound calls to customers who may be struggling to make their payments and carrying out variety of administration work to ensure that we support our customers.

You will be working shifts based on the department opening hours of 8am-6pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-5.30pm Friday and Saturday 9am-12pm on rotation (once a month). As these shifts are given a month in advance you can find a healthy work life balance.

On joining the team, you will be given comprehensive training and will be surrounded by people who are experts at what they do and are committed to helping you (and the Society).

What Do We Need From You?

We’re looking for individuals with experience in mortgage arrears or debt management who are passionate about customer service. People who are great listeners with brilliant communication skills and flair for building great relationships.

The successful candidate will also have to hold a minimum of Grade C at GCSE level in Maths.

We have an exciting opportunity in our physical health services in the Intermediate Care Team based in Ely.

The post holder will be at the forefront of ensuring the smooth daily running of the intermediate care service, providing care and therapy in patients' own homes and in private provider care home settings, facilitating discharges from hospitals, using a home first care model and admission avoidance.

The post holder will offer leadership and management to ensure the effective delivery of the intermediate care service across the Huntingdonshire locality as part of the countywide Intermediate Care Service.

The role will directly manage registered nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and non-registered therapy and care support staff.









The successful applicant will need to be innovative, decisive and display strong leadership and organisational skills. They will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the team,maintainingquality standards and maximising resource within themultidisciplinaryteam. 1. Providing leadership and management on matters relating to admission avoidance, early supported discharge, transfer of care process.
2. Work closely with the MDT and coordinators, integrating working practices to streamline processes, share knowledge, and benefit patient experience, outcomes and flow.
3. Manage systems to ensure the effective allocation and deployment of staff.
4. Act as a resource for the team and others involved in the patient pathway, providing advice to facilitate timely discharge and flow through the pathway and with the aim of reducing hospital stays, maximising patient independence, enabling patients to receive the right care at the right time in the right place.
5. Ensure systems and processes are in place to receive and prioritise referrals to the team and delegation to staff
6. Ensure own leadership style facilitates effective communication, collaboration and motivation of staff and partners to achieve effective transfer of care.

What Will You Be Doing?

- Conducting daily, monthly, and periodic reconciliations of financial records and fully investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances identified found to protect the integrity of our financial records and customer accounts.

- Develop and implement effective reconciliation processes, controls, and procedures to enhance efficiency and mitigate risks.

- Document and maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

- Monitor and analyse data trends, identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations for enhancements.

- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes pertaining to reconciliation and financial operations.

What Do We Need From You?

- Relevant accountancy qualifications or studying towards (e.g., AAT, ACCA, CIMA or studying) whilst not a prerequisite, is a plus.

- Proven experience as a Reconciliation Analyst or in a similar role within the financial services industry.

- Solid understanding of financial concepts, accounting principles, and reconciliation methodologies.

- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
