The Estates department at Furness General Hospital is a group of highly skilled electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineers, creative building craftpersons, and dedicated support staff.

We are looking to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Engineering Manager - Mechanical to join us.

You should be experienced, time served, and suitably qualified in mechanical engineering maintenance, fault finding, and repairs. Ideally you will have trained to NVQ Level 4/HNC level or above.

You should be proficient in all aspects of mechanical plant and equipment on an industrial scale. Healthcare experience would be advantageous but not essential - as full training will be given.

Flexible working and the ability to participate in an on-call rota is required.

These are hybrid posts working 35 hours per week. Whilst much of this role can be carried out remotely, regular team working in person is a requirement of the post so there is an expectation of weekly attendance in the Council’s Lochgilphead or Helensburgh offices. You will be engaged in the design, installation and support of voice and data networks. You will be responsible for providing hardware and software support with second and third-line operational support, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of service requests, issues and incidents.
