Proof of qualifications will be required. You will undertake a training programme approved by the GPhC for the initial education and training of pharmacy technicians. All candidates who do not already hold the qualification Essential Skills Wales digital literacy at level 2will need to complete this as part of the programme. To complete the programme, candidates will need the ability and enthusiasm to undertake a modern apprenticeship training programme which will take two years to complete. This involves working full time (37.5 hours a week) in a pharmacy, building a portfolio of evidence, work-based assessment, on-line learning, study days and group work and following the GPhC Standards for Pharmacy Professionals. A commitment to studying outside working hours is essential as well as an ability to meet the deadlines set during your training programme. Experience of working effectively both in a team and independently and previous pharmacy experience are desirable but not essential for this post.

Fixed term for 36 months

Wrexham University is looking to appoint Research Fellow in Composite Materials Engineering. Initially this role will be located in the Advanced Composites Training and Development Centre, a joint activity with Airbus at the site in Hawarden where there is a state of the art composites facility. The university has secured funding through the North Wales Growth Deal for a new facility, the Enterprise Engineering and Optics Centre on the Plas Coch main site in Wrexham and the building programme is well advanced. The role will transfer to a purpose built facility within this building when it is completed.

The fellow will perform and lead high quality collaborative research, working both independently and as part of the research team and wider academic community to achieve the project goals. They will act as a research leader at the University, develop research objectives, projects and proposals. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable.

The facilities at present include an extensive array of thermal characterisation, SEM and FTIR microscopy as well as impact and mechanical testing. There is an array of microwave and radio frequency equipment reflecting the specialism of microwave curing for low carbon, fast cycle time processing of composites.

Options Autism, part of Outcomes First Group, are recruiting an Adult Night Support Workers to join our teams within the North Wales area.

Arrow House is situated in a residential area of Wrexham and is an accommodation with a capacity of 3 for adults with Autism / Learning Disability. We are located just 15 minutes’ walk from the city centre and have easy access to transport routes. Our teams also have full access to a clinical team/MDT to support the services. We are also within commuting distance from Flint, Holywell and Chester and surrounding towns and villages.

Through ongoing development and training, we ensure our staff are well prepared for their jobs and given every opportunity to extend their skills.

Options Autism are Specialists in Education, Care and Therapy for young people with autistic spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, complex behaviour associated with autism and anxiety and mental health needs.
