The Clinical Coordinator, School of Education (CC) is the liaison for the University and school districts for placing credential candidates in clinical settings. The CC oversees and maintains the University Clinical Supervisors and their assignments. In coordination with the Teacher Accreditation Department (TAD) and Director of Clinical Practice, the CC will arrange and be the leader in arranging, developing, and delivering fieldwork orientations for education credential candidates and University Supervisors. The CC will serve as a liaison with School of Education designees, working closely with education program faculty and staff to assure comprehensive service to credential candidates.

The hiring range for this position is $20.76 - $28.22 per hour. Offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: geographical location, knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
TYPE OF SUPERVISION:
Receive general supervision from the Director, Clinical Practice.
- General Supervision — indicates that the incumbent performs a variety of duties; some of which may be complex duties within established policy guidelines; and receives occasional supervision.
POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Liaison with local school districts. Identify and contact schools/districts to place student teachers and other education credential candidates, in accordance with CTC requirements.
- Identify, recruit, recommend for hiring and termination of University Clinical Supervisors
- Assign University Clinical Supervisors to fieldwork students
- Participate in training of University Clinical Supervisors
- Follow up on (a) University Clinical Supervisors and their evaluations of candidates; (b) Candidates and their evaluations of University Clinical Supervisors and district supervisors, i.e., master teachers; (c) District supervisors and their evaluations of candidates and University Clinical Supervisors
- Provide pay requests for University Clinical Supervisors and district supervisors to Central Office
- Maintain database for education candidates to assure all are placed in clinical settings upon completion of course work, CTC requirements, and university requirements.
- Conduct orientation with University Clinical Supervisors and candidates prior to commencing fieldwork so that all are aware of expectations as described in the various program Clinical Experience Handbooks.
- In coordination with the University Clinical Supervisor and the district supervisor, counsel and develop action plans for candidates who are experiencing difficulty in fieldwork. Notify the Director of Clinical Practice as to the additional support being provided, and the response to it.
- Identify school districts needing agreements and notify the Central Office of any changes or issues.
- Perform other duties, as assigned
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR LICENSES:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution
- 5+ plus years teaching experience at the K-12 level
- Experience working with credential candidates in a university setting
- Current California teaching credential required
- Current administrative services credential desired.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of CTC Common Standards and Program Standards, as they apply to clinical fieldwork, is required.
- Working knowledge of the Cal TPAs and Cal APAs is also required.
- Ability to develop and maintain databases
- Ability to effectively work within a collaborative environment
Desired Qualifications:
- Current California teaching credential
- Master’s Degree in appropriate field or equivalent
- Current California administrative services credential
- K-12 administration experience 3+ years, preferably as a department head, principal, program director, or superintendent
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices and Software: Ability to use a personal computer, Microsoft Office software, printers, and typical office equipment.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Position may be required to work flexible hours particularly given student placement timelines and schools district calendars. All applicants are subject to a background check and criminal history review. Working conditions are remote and require home internet access. A valid driver’s license and vehicle for travel are required. This position is subject to a background check including a Motor Vehicle Report. Appropriate auto liability insurance coverage must be maintained.
