The primary purpose of this position is to serve as Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer position to serve as Operations Group Commander/ Senior ART and as such, manage the flight operations function on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This Master Transportation Security Officer- Security Training Instructor position is located at Sacramento International Airport (SMF), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Master Transportation Security Officer (MTSO), you will support the airport training program through performance of a variety of training-related functions. In addition to training program responsibilities, you will also perform pre-board security screening of persons, cargo, carry-on, and checked baggage as directed by the Federal Security Director (FSD), or his/her designee, a minimum of 20% of the time. This position is necessary to directly supervise a team of six nurse educators and three nurse informaticists that provide services to clinical staff in the entire health care system in response to mandates, needs assessments, requests associated with performance improvement plans, quality and safety recommendations, national or VISN initiatives.
