This Reception Class Teacher role is a full time position maternity cover position starting in December 2024 and continuing until the end of the academic year.

Role of Year 1 Class Teacher:

• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum

Year 1 Class Teacher Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teaching Status
• Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching in a Primary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management

Role Purpose

PURPOSE

All F1 Doctors in hospital posts will generally be ward based during the normal working day and expected to deliver the daily medical care of all the patients on their ward irrespective of specialty. The F1 doctor is responsible with other staff for the ward care of patients and the maintenance of the patients medical record. They are expected to attend the structured teaching programme provided by the department. The doctor will be responsible for: ward jobs, ward round, notes taking, blood taking, cannulation, ABG, clerking patients on admission. Reviewing sick patients, ordering investigations, keeping patient list etc. The overall objectives of the F1 year are to provide the trainee with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be able to: Take a history and examine a patient Identify and synthesise problems Prescribe safely Keep an accurate and relevant medical record Manage time and clinical priorities effectively Communicate effectively with patients, relatives and colleagues Use evidence, guidelines and audit to benefit patient care Act in a professional manner at all times Cope with ethical and legal issues which occur during the management of patients with general medical problems Educate patients effectively Become life-long learners and teachers.

This role operates across a range of clinical areas within the acute and community services. You will plan and deliver an effective and competent level of care, be fully aware of the needs of the patients and drive the standard in patient care. Working collaboratively with colleagues across other department to ensure the continuity in patient care, acting as a role model for colleges, patients and relatives. Supervise the care given by Healthcare Assistants and provide guidance and training as appropriate.

To promote and develop the role of Hospital / Primary & Acute liaison by providing clinical and professional leadership in development and implementation of evidence-based practices to support people with a learning disability. To co-ordinate and facilitate high-quality person-centred specialist health care for people with learning disabilities within a Hospital / Primary & Acute setting. To ensure seamless care provision between mainstream Hospital services, Primary Care services, GP surgeries and specialist learning disability services to reduce health inequalities. Providing nursing advice, education and direct support on complex health care needs of people with a learning disability to individuals, families, staff and provider services.
