Salary: Up to £40,109 per annum (subject to experience and qualifications). Plus generous benefits. These include:

About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a full time tutor to deliver across our sports curricula, with an emphasis on leading our A Level PE provision. This role will be ideal if you relish the challenge of working with a wide and diverse range of students, on full-time study programmes. The post would suit an appropriately qualified person with experience in the delivery of A Level PE. You will be required to deliver units across our full range of qualifications which range from Level 1 to Level 3. The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic, supportive team within the curriculum are of Sport and Uniformed Public Services.
About the PersonThe ideal candidate will be an innovative forward-thinking teacher, who is highly motivated to improve the chances of young people. You will be expected to create effective and stimulating learning opportunities for all students through high quality teaching, learning and assessment. The position requires enthusiasm and most importantly a commitment to the student journey.
Candidates may offer skills and experiences suitable for a proportion of role or the total 37 hours per week.
About the CollegeWe are a large, regional college serving a population across York and North Yorkshire of more than one million people. Each year, we have approximately 4,000 school leavers, 1,000 apprentices, 2,000 adult students, and 400 higher-level students studying with us.
Our wide range of education options span entry level programmes through to degrees, higher technical qualifications, and accredited professional courses to courses for professional development. Our apprenticeships can be studied from level 2 to level 5 across a range of different career pathways. We are the largest provider of A-Level and vocational programmes for school leavers in the region; we offer nearly 35 A-Level subjects and over 80 vocational courses, including a wide range of T-Level pathways.
