About the Job

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Training Coordinator to join our busy, friendly distribution teams! Working closely with trainers in the department and wider departments as well as our central Learning and Development team, you will effectively manage the delivery of the distribution training and and support in staff development in this area by ensuring that all staff are trained to do their job effectively plus developed for progression.

You will be experienced in delivering training, ideally in a similar environment and be confident in rolling out SOP training, monitoring that all staff are up to date with all mandatory training and reporting on this regularly. You will be a confident communicator and be approachable and willing to support the staff with any training needs.

You will be experienced in using an LMS system and deliver pre-written training as well as writing some bespoke training on occasion such as user guides for our warehouse management system, based on the needs of the distribution team.

The Head of Finance will lead the finance support for Social Care, Education and Public Health, providing professional high level strategic advice to the City Mayor, the Executive, Scrutiny, and the Corporate Management Team. • Proven ability to formally manage and develop council employees, including subject matter experts, and supervise activities of matrix-managed staff, casual workers, and volunteers. Experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through coaching and mentoring.

• Demonstrated expertise in preparing and monitoring revenue and capital budgets for social care, education, and public health divisions. Ability to provide strategic financial support to major projects and programs, ensuring financial integrity and value for money.

Salary Details: Grade 5. This attracts a salary range of £23,118 to £23,505 per annum, awarded on a pro-rata basis. Your starting salary would be approximately £.12775.01 (Pay Point 7).
Hours of work: 30 hours per week, term-time only for an initial period of 6 weeks

Transport & Logistics Planner
£36,940 plus bonus
Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm


Working closely with existing Transport subcontracts and bring new subcontractors into the business; this role will be pivotal role to enable to the business to continue grow from strength to strength.

Would need to be able to demonstrate an excellent background in European sub contracting and process the knowledge to know what is needed to import and export goods.

As a Transport Coordinator you will be responsible for:

Ensuring loads are correctly exported / imported ( know what codes / paperwork is required)
Maintaining relationships with existing Haulier partners / customers
Regularly reviewing performance
Bringing on new customers / Hauliers subcontractors into the business
Resource / allocate loads on a daily basis achieving best possible margin
Ensure deliveries are scheduled on time and in line with customer expectations
Monitor delivery performance and notify customers with any delays
Work to set targets in line with operational KPI's
Ensure all information is accurate and up to date within TMS


Ideally you will:
Have a background working within Transport (Essential)
Have a strong relationship with existing subcontractors (Desirable)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Happy to work in a fast paced environment
Knowledge of procedures export / import


Needs to have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Will need to develop and build relationships with existing and new customers
Would need a good understanding of current market rates
Good understanding of all required customs documents needs a focused and target driven
