As a FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR) (Title 32), GS-2185-10, you will instruct and perform flight crew work supporting heavy multi engine aircraft, and to provide assistance to the pilot in the overall operation of the aircraft. Primary aircraft UH 60A Black Hawk transport helicopter. The aircrafts missions include combat service support airlift for movement of heavy supplies, vehicles, aircraft and equipment, troop air assaults, extractions and resupply of troops, and aeromedical evacuations, search and rescue, ice break, mine sweep, and air support of national disasters and state contingencies.

Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:

• Knowledge of the full range of aircrew duties and responsibilities, methods of instruction and requirements of the program, performs standardization, currency, instrument, proficiency, tactical, emergency and special tasks evaluation flights.
• Assess newly assigned individuals' level of experience and training through review of training records and/or proficiency flight evaluation to determine proficiency and skill status.
• Provide training on in-flight planning and coordination responsibilities, operating principles and characteristics of major aircraft systems, aircraft parameters, operational/mission requirements, equipment systems operation/and troubleshooting, proper and correct methods of performing aircrew duties.
• Brief on mission equipment and use of life support equipment and safety emergency procedures.
• Maintain records of operational equipment indicating flights, repairs, maintenance and Inspections; coordinate with maintenance personnel on activities on discrepancies requiring action.
• Plan and conduct aircrew training program.
• Determine and monitor factors and data affecting performance of aircraft, such as temperature, altitude, humidity, field conditions, configuration and weight of aircraft, on aircraft takeoff, flight and landing, and keeps pilot informed.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent plans, designs and instructs a variety of group fitness classes for small and large groups. Participates in brainstorming sessions to develop programs, events and classes for a well-rounded physical fitness program. Keep up to date on the latest fitness trends and developments. Answers questions regarding programs offered through the Fitness Center and or other MWR Facilities/services available to the customer. Continuously evaluates the participation and interest level of fitness classes and programs from the standpoint of participant responses, resources, unforeseen developments, and program objectives. Recommends program changes and variations as necessary to the Fitness Coordinator. Endures cleanliness of exercise spaces and equipment and reports general wear and tear of collateral equipment. Knowledge Required by the Position
Must possess and maintain a current CPR and AED Certifications and must possess nationally recognized certification in Group Exercise.

Guidelines
Guidelines include DOD manuals, directives, OPNAV instructions pertaining to physical readiness standards and Standards Operating Procedures. Incumbent will ensure that the Fitness Center operations comply with all OSHA, BUMED, DOD, BUPERS and local safety guidelines.

Scope and Effect

Personal Contacts
The incumbent will interface with all patrons, including active-duty and retired military members, their dependents and authorized DOD civilian personnel as well as other department employees.

SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is To plan, implement, administer, and advise on Voluntary Education opportunities, the Military Tuition Assistance (MilTA) program, career and force development programs, testing, and other education and training services and activities available to military members, Department of Defense (DoD) civilians and family members.

DUTIES:

• Provides individual career, academic, and force development advisement services to military personnel, dependents, and civilian personnel pursuing Voluntary Education opportunities.
• Serves as technical expert on a variety of Voluntary Education programs.
• Provides advisement and coordination on the SkillBridge program.
• Provides mass briefings and a variety of outreach and customer services duties.
• Performs various administrative duties related to the Voluntary Education program.

The duties and responsibilities of the CYP Assistant Training Specialist cam be grouped into categories, including training, classroom and program support, compliance, and additional responsibilities as described below.

Training
Assists in the development of a CYP training plan and assists with identifying and addressing training needs.

Assists with orientation training for new CYP employees and CDH providers.

Assists in ensuring the quality and consistency of developmental programming to include environment, equipment, materials, program structure, curriculum, risk management practices and oversight and coordination of activity schedules and lesson plans.
