Processes annually more than 4 million pieces of official and personnel mail at three official mail centers JBSA Ft Sam Houston, Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB Official Mail Centers (OMC), six postal service centers, Randolph Postal Service Center (PSC), Lackland Postal Service Centers (PSC #2, #3 and #7) and a Student Mail Center (SMC) and Benner Barracks at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston.
• Accountable Mail: To provide accountability and control of classified communications; to provide document security services; and to provide office automation and clerical support for the Operations Flight. Receives, records, sorts, transports, controls, and processes all incoming and outgoing special services mail, i.e. registered, express, certified, insured, and other various extra service articles personally through the window to the addressee/authorized agent and to various organizations and mailrooms designated mail orderlies and mail clerks.
• Provides expedient and complete mail like matter services sent via commercial carriers. Responsible for securely receiving, controlling and processing commercial carrier parcels (i.e. UPS and FedEx parcels).
• To provide first-line defense of Mail Security for JBSA customers and serviced activities. Responsible for knowing the characteristics of suspicious mail items and the proper procedures for handling and reporting suspicious mail items to the proper authorities.
• Maintains and Operates as a Unit Mail Clerk. Responsible for assigning and withdrawal of receptacles for TDY, student and permanent party postal lock boxes, changing combinations/keys, redirecting undeliverable mail. Receives, unloads, sorts, and processes incoming shipments of mail trays, parcels, sacks, and correspondence into postal receptacles. Work involves heavy lifting and moving of objects from high and low levels of shelving units.

• Assist in the planning, implementation, development, coordination, and administration of a broad range of community activities, special events, classes, conferences, meetings, and other facility use requirements which are diversified and serve a participant community of employees, and their dependents.
• Perform the duties of facility manager and directs facility maintenance and daily upkeep for The Sheppard Event Center.

Manages promotional distribution ensuring all materials are distributed to the appropriate location in a timely and accurate manner. Performs both internal and external customer service. • Provide professional and comprehensive advocacy services to individuals exhibiting a wide variety of issues related to being a victim or survivor of sexual harassment or sexual assault.
• Conduct assessments with clients to determine required needs and evaluates safety and levels of risk.

• Develop and implement an appropriate plan of action in crisis situations. Maintain contact with clients through follow-up support for ongoing needs related to coping with harassment and assault incident(s).

• Possess an extensive knowledge of local professional and non-professional (financial, housing, etc) services and support for victims of harassment or assault and provide clients with information, referrals and applicable resources available.
• Inform individuals of reporting options, their rights and responsibilities as a victim. Ensure continuity of advocacy support activities in both garrison and deployed environments, as required by the Commander.
• Conduct professional level and administrative educational and interactive training workshops/seminars for victims of sexual harassment and sexual assault, community agencies, units and leaders.
• Assist SARC in conducting training for Soldiers, commanders, and first responders such as medical staff and law enforcement.
• Ensure victims of sexual assault receive all needed guidance and emotional support during administrative, medical, investigative, and legal procedures.
• Conduct command consultations. Refer victims to other community services as required to include hotline services and individual support to victims at the point of service.
• Serve on the Sexual Assault Review Board (SARB). May serve on community boards and committees representing the SHARP program
• Address victim services for sexual harassment and sexual assault. Complete and maintains required program files and client records. Compile and submit program reports, data and evaluations.
• Coordinate professional and support services for victims with service support and community organizations and agencies.
