What skills and experience we're looking for

Qualifications/Training/Experience

• QTS or QTLS
• Proven teaching experience in primary at KS2 or KS3. Your practice needs to be good or outstanding and experience of teaching children with emotional, social and mental health issues.
• Successful experience of teaching a broad and balanced curriculum at KS2/3 in line with the National Curriculum, including learners with a range of special educational needs most specifically social, emotional and mental health issues.
• SEN or SEMH experience.
• Additional qualification in special educational needs/emotional and behavioural difficulties (desirable).
• Experienced in Trauma Perceptive Practice (TPP) or good current knowledge of TPP.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Qualified Primary Teacher to work with KS3 students, delivering a KS2 broad and balanced curriculum to students and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our students. Ramsden Hall Academy holds a Good Ofsted status and our residential provision holds Outstanding Ofsted status. Our Academy is a Residential Special School for boys aged 10 to 16 who have an EHCP for Social, Emotional and Mental Health.

The purpose of the post is to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and ensure improved standards of learning and achievement for all students. The post holder will ensure a cohesive and personalised programme of learning activities, in line with the national curriculum. By taking on a full-time role as a bar and waiting apprentice under the supervision of our passionate teams, not only will you achieve a Level 2 Hospitality Team Member Apprenticeship, you will be able to support the running of our businesses, creating some amazing moments!

What your apprenticeship includes:

- A mixture of face to face and skype/phone catch ups every 4 - 6 weeks

- A mixture of on and off the job training, including workshops and webinars

- Reviews every 12 weeks with the Apprentice, Line Manager and Lifetime Trainer

- Feedback sessions to discuss progress

- Obtain Functional Skills in English and Maths (if you don't already have GCSE or equivalent)

- 30 hours paid work every week

Wage will be:

16-20 years old - £7.49 an hour

21-22 years old - £10.18 an hour

23+ years old - £10.42 an hour

At Mitchells and Butlers you will be working towards a Hospitality Team Member Level 2 Apprenticeship standard over the course of 15 months.
