**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Supervision of Night Shift Team:** Lead and manage the night shift team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently, with a focus on operational activities on the warehouse floor.
* **Unloading/Loading Deliveries:** Oversee the unloading and loading of incoming and outgoing deliveries, ensuring items are handled and placed correctly. This includes reloading drivers who return to the site to deliver to another store.
* **Return Box Sortation:** Ensure the correct sortation of return boxes into the proper deposition routes for the next days operations.
* **Scanning Non-Spanish Returns:** Ensure that non-Spanish returns are properly scanned into the system during the night shift, maintaining accuracy and timely processing.
* **Driver Support (Operational):** Address any operational issues with drivers, coordinating with the Warehouse Administrator as needed for logistical support.
* **Checking Driver Special Instructions:** Verify that drivers returning from deliveries have followed any special instructions they were expected to carry out at the store, ensuring compliance and reporting any issues.
* **Health & Safety Compliance:** Ensure that health and safety standards are adhered to at all times, promoting a safe working environment for the night shift team.
* **Team Performance Management:** Monitor team productivity, providing support and guidance to maintain high standards of performance.
* **Conduct Performance Reviews:** Provide regular feedback to team members on their performance and identify areas for improvement, reporting key observations to the Warehouse Manager for formal reviews.
* **Inventory Accuracy (Operational):** Oversee the physical accuracy of stock movements, coordinating with the Warehouse Administrator to ensure all records are maintained.
* **Communication & Issue Resolution:** Resolve any operational issues during the shift, escalating problems to the Warehouse Manager when required. Coordinate with the Warehouse Administrator for administrative tasks when necessary.
* **End-of-Shift Handover (Warehouse Input):** Provide any relevant information from the warehouse for the end-of-shift handover, which will be completed and sent by the Warehouse Administrator.
* **Training & Development:** Assist in the training and development of night shift team members to ensure continued improvement and efficiency.
* **Warehouse Equipment Checks:** Ensure all warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is properly maintained and report any damage or required maintenance.
* **Attendance Monitoring:** Monitor the attendance and timekeeping of team members, reporting any significant issues to the Warehouse Manager for follow-up.
* **Emergency Protocol Adherence:** Ensure all team members are aware of and follow emergency protocols, such as evacuation procedures or first aid measures during the night shift.
* **Night Shift Security:** Ensure warehouse security protocols are followed, particularly during off-hours when the night shift team is the primary presence.
* **Warehouse Cleanliness and Organization:** Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse during the night shift, ensuring adherence to housekeeping standards to prevent safety hazards and improve efficiency.
* **Contingency Planning:** Be prepared to implement contingency plans in case of operational disruptions, such as equipment failures, unexpected staff absences, or delayed deliveries.
* **Operational Flexibility:** Be prepared to support additional operational tasks as they arise, ensuring the smooth running of the night shift.
**Collaboration with Warehouse Administrator:**
* **Administrative Support:** The Warehouse Administrator will handle the administrative tasks, including the end-of-shift email handover, using the relevant information provided by the Warehouse Team Leader.
**As a person you must;**
- Have excellent Communication skills
- Excellent IT Skills
- UK Driving Licence Max 3 points SP30 SP50 Only
- Previous Driving Experience Desired.
- Hold HGV Class 2 License - Desired
- Have good timekeeping
- Be able to commit to the job full time
- Be OK with unsociable hours
- Be flexible and open to overtime.
