To provide continuing management, leadership and development responsibilities for Community Learning Disability Physiotherapists based in the Community Intellectual Disability Teams (CIDT), ensuring effective delivery of clinical evidence-based practice by the team to people with an Intellectual Disability/Mental Health, their families, and carers.
To ensure effective multi-disciplinary working, working closely with other services as well as having a role in coordinating care and services.
Ensuring all Performance Management and clinical Governance arrangements are in place.

Will require an experienced senior clinician, Allied Health Professional with proven clinical leadership skills in Learning Disabilities; to ensure delivery of high-quality assessment and treatment, clinical health care to patients, in line with specific standards within a community environment. The post holder will work collaboratively with Team Managers and other Professional Leads across the Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Service.
The role requires an experienced clinician with proven clinical, leadership and managerial skills who demonstrates credibility and can influence specialist service delivery within an integrated partnership; including the Dynamic Support Register in order to avoid inappropriate hospital admission and keep people safe in the community.
The post holder will provide line management and offer support to community physiotherapists, through excellent leadership and management and clinical expertise.
