Job Description
The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.
Purpose of the role
The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include development, implementation and monitoring of meal plans, educating participants as needed, collecting dietary data, and performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including
(1) Intervention study coordinator:
- Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
- Implement methods for collecting dietary data, including detailed food intake records and compliance monitoring.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate participants' nutritional status and document any deviations from prescribed diets.
(2) Nutritional Intervention study monitoring:
- Monitor food/nutrient composition for meals developed for intervention study
- Collaborate with the research team to integrate nutritional components into the study design and ensure alignment with research objectives.
- Liaise and coordinate with the Food Service team, providing diet requirements, and assisting in menu and recipe development and analysis as required
Main Duties and Responsibilities
(3) Participant Education and Counseling:
- Provide individualized nutrition education to study participants
- Communicate complex nutritional information and address participants’ questions and concerns about their prescribed meal plans.
- Foster participant compliance by offering ongoing support and guidance, emphasizing the importance of dietary adherence to the research trial.
(4) Administration and Leadership:
- Provide administrative leadership for the trial, ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethics and governance requirements
- Maintain accurate records related to trial administration, participant interactions, and regulatory documentation
(5) Others:
- Any other ad-hoc duties as allocated by the Centre Director
Qualifications
- Possess a Master's degree (in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science & Technology or relevant areas)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Sound understanding of the research environment
- Adherence to high standards of professional integrity and ethics
- Be a Registered Dietitian at Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association (SNDA) or other well-recognized Dietitians Association -preferable
- Preferably with at least 6 years of relevant working experience with the application of nutrition or dietetics background

- Familiarity with local and global cuisines
- Independence and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, adept at working under tight deadlines
- Commitment to the ongoing development of a positive organizational culture
- Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated on skills and evidence-based medical and nutrition information
- Proficient in Microsoft applications (e.g. Excel, Outlook, Word, Powerpoint), online meeting tools
- Familiar with nutrient databases
