The Role and Department

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our Post Award section within Research and Innovation Services (RIS). The Research Operations Post Award section is responsible for providing overarching support and quality assurance for research, knowledge exchange and expert services Post-Award finance-related activity, including financial management for live grants; provision of live grant information to grant holders and senior management; financial reporting to funders and other external bodies; and support in the management of studentships and grant administration.

The Faculty of Business with a centralised Learning and Teaching team that support four academic departments seek a Learning and Teaching Manager. This exciting role will manage the delivery of the DBA programmes, aligning activities to meet operational objectives from the point of admissions through to graduation.This role is part time, working 28 hours per week.

The Learning and Teaching Manager will be part of the MBA/DBA Learning and Teaching administrative leadership team and will, along with the Senior Learning and Teaching Manager and other Learning and Teaching Managers, work flexibly to support this management team as required. The team comprises pre- and post-award services, consultancy support, and systems implementation and development. The RGCM will be first point of contact for an academic wishing to apply for external research funding and will provide support and expert advice in a number of key activities including: identifying and disseminating funding opportunities, delivering training and information events, lay reviewing applications, project managing the submission process of the bid including responsibility for budget development and seeking internal approvals. Once awarded, and working closely with post-award colleagues, you will provide support to ensure timely acceptance of the award including contract negotiation and ensuring all ethical and due diligence checks are complete. It is essential that the RGCM is highly organised, pays close attention to detail, and has a pro-active approach to problem-solving. The capability to prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload is crucial. The ability to work across a number of concurrent projects at different stages of development is essential. CACI’s Agile Digital Solutions Operating Group is recruiting an experienced project manager to join our NASA Consolidation Applications and Platforms (NCAPS) team.  As a member of the NCAPS Team, you will support the men and women leading America’s space exploration.

The NCAPS Center Relationship Manager plays a key role by working with NASA Center leaders to ensure alignment of priorities to solutions as NASA transition solution delivery to an enterprise model.  The selected candidate will work with CACI’s program leadership team and is responsible for identifying, managing, and resolving center identified issues and risks. 

What you’ll get to do:

• Work with NASA center leadership to drive customer satisfaction and ensure alignment with enterprise priorities.

• Develop and maintain customer relationship maps

• Develop and maintain customer satisfaction plans and processes

• Work with NASA center leadership to identify, track and manage center priorities, issues and requests

• Work with center product owners and CACI’s delivery team to align priorities to product backlogs and in PI planning events

• Assist in managing performance against SLA metrics and preparing/delivering center specific status reports and information

• Work with Team CACI NCAPS leadership in strategic planning, understanding of NASA/Center processes and priorities, and participate in monthly program review meetings

You’ll bring these qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

• 10+ years of relevant experience

• Knowledge of NASA business systems and software development processes and procedures

• Proven track record of effectively managing customer relationships.

• Prior experience successfully identifying, managing, and resolving customer satisfaction issues.

These qualifications would be nice to have:

• Active Secret security clearance

• Prior experience leading a NASA research center

Position Summary

As a Personal Training Manager, you will lead a team of Fitness Professionals through their career at Life Time. You will supervise all revenue departments and Team Members within Life Time Training. You will oversee the hiring and maintain desired level of fitness professionals (15-50) as well as drive key company initiatives and manage budget and P&L. You will ensure all Fitness Professionals are educated in the Core 3 Method.                                                                                                   

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures an artistry level member experience on the fitness floor daily  
• Develops safe, professional, exciting and comprehensive personal training programs    
• Motivates and coaches Personal Trainers to achieve revenue and session goals
• Ensures Trainers are promoting and selling personal training programs  
• Completes payroll and ensures payroll expenses are within budgetary guidelines            
• Monitors all personal training department supplies and expenditures    
• Manages 90-day on-boarding process for new Personal Trainers              
• Assesses individual performance, provides feedback, and employee recognition             
• Makes hiring, promotion, disciplinary, and termination recommendations to the General Manager         
• Conducts weekly Personal Training Department and Management meetings     

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of personal training experience at Life Time
• 2 to 3 years of experience in sales and program design
• 2 years of supervisory an management experience
• Certified Personal Trainer
• CPR and AED Certified within 6 months of hire

Preferred Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or other related field

Careers & Enterprise (C&E) Centre is a dynamic and developing team, operating across the university through subject departments, colleges, societies and industry facing initiatives to support the development and progression of all students. It aims to help them meet the challenges and opportunities of the constantly developing employment market, and become the leaders and innovators of the near future.

The post holder will lead the work of the Work Based Learning Team and the Employer Services Team to deliver a comprehensive programme of employer engagement activities as well as the strategic and delivery lead of funded work-based learning initiatives, including externally funded programmes, extra-curricular internships and in-curriculum work-based learning support. As a member of the Senior Management team, a key role for the post will be to attract local, national and international business to establish opportunities for Durham students and graduates and to work innovatively to generate external funding to improve the Careers and Enterprise offer for key stakeholders.

This post will work in close partnership with University departments ensuring effective collaborative practice and referral to support opportunity curation. The post will also engage more widely with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a champion for employer engagement and work experience activity and aim to learn from best practice delivery elsewhere.
