We are looking for a learning support assistant that has previous experience working with primary age students. Salary: £10,186 FTE Fixed term for up to 24 months.Working towards a Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND) Standard, you will assist the class teacher to provide high quality teaching and learning support to pupils with SEND. Main responsibilities (with support and under supervision):Supervising the activities of individuals or groups of pupilsAssisting pupils with a variety of personal self-help skillsEnsuring the health and safety of all pupils at all timesAssisting pupils in the use of all classroom resourcesPreparing curriculum equipment and learning resources for the classroomSupport in, then run 1-1 and small group intervention support.Provide in-class support to children and young people with learning difficulties and complex needs. Salary: £22,369 - £24,054 FTE (£17,052 - £18,336 pro rata)This role is for 32.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday and is required in term time (39 weeks); therefore this is reflected in the pro rata salary.We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Assistant to join Nethergate Academy, and also cover classes in the absence of the Class Teacher.About the role:You will be required to help with the organising and running of intervention groups across the academy and also cover classes in the absence of the Class Teacher; including unplanned absence and/or planned absence due to the allocation of PPA time.This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to gain teaching experience and develop a wide range of skills whilst working in a friendly and supportive environment.
