• Serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military/Office Automation) performing clerical tasks pertinent to the initiation, review, and verification of military personnel data and records for enlisted personnel entering the service.
• Perform quality control output by verifying data received from the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
• Research a variety of military regulations and directives to determine the proper action for correction on enlistment contracts.
• Provide basic information (i.e., length of training, pay and entitlements, promotion criteria, and a brief description of the Military Occupation Specialty (MOS) for which the Soldiers will be trained.
• Perform accurate data entry and processing through the Defense Eligibility Enrollment System (DEERS) database systems.

• Communicates with military officers, military enlisted personnel, and civilian employees to determine the specific types of military actions that are required to support the needs of civilian and military personnel.
• Receives, reviews, coordinates, prepares, finalizes, and tracks a wide variety of military personnel actions.
• Files correspondence in accordance with Army Information Management System (ARMIS).
• Creates copies, edits, calculates, revises, retrieves, stores, and prints a wide range of documents in final form from handwritten materials.

• Provides official/personal mail service in accordance with DoD 4525.6-M, DoD Postal Manual and DoD 4525.8-M, DoD Official Mail Manual; DoDI 4525.8/AF Sup 1; Official Mail and Distribution Management; and Cost Control Program. Processes annually more than 4 million pieces of official and personnel mail at three official mail centers JBSA Ft Sam Houston, Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB Official Mail Centers (OMC), six postal service centers, Randolph Postal Service Center (PSC), Lackland Postal Service Centers (PSC #2, #3 and #7) and a Student Mail Center (SMC) and Benner Barracks at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston.
• Accountable Mail: To provide accountability and control of classified communications; to provide document security services; and to provide office automation and clerical support for the Operations Flight. Receives, records, sorts, transports, controls, and processes all incoming and outgoing special services mail, i.e. registered, express, certified, insured, and other various extra service articles personally through the window to the addressee/authorized agent and to various organizations and mailrooms designated mail orderlies and mail clerks.
• Provides expedient and complete mail like matter services sent via commercial carriers. Responsible for securely receiving, controlling and processing commercial carrier parcels (i.e. UPS and FedEx parcels).
• To provide first-line defense of Mail Security for JBSA customers and serviced activities. Responsible for knowing the characteristics of suspicious mail items and the proper procedures for handling and reporting suspicious mail items to the proper authorities.
• Maintains and Operates as a Unit Mail Clerk. Responsible for assigning and withdrawal of receptacles for TDY, student and permanent party postal lock boxes, changing combinations/keys, redirecting undeliverable mail. Receives, unloads, sorts, and processes incoming shipments of mail trays, parcels, sacks, and correspondence into postal receptacles. Work involves heavy lifting and moving of objects from high and low levels of shelving units.

Serves as the Marketing and Publicity branch focal point for collection and dissemination of Force Support Squadron program information. Responsible for answering telephone, voicemail management, filing, record keeping, and supply inventory (when necessary). Conducts briefings, prepares slides and handout materials for presentations. Researches new avenues for sharing information about FSS programs and events and establishes new lines of communication with the untapped resources. Ensures signage and other posted media within FSS activities are compliant with AFPC and FSS leadership guidelines and standards. Conducts all prep work (binding, cutting, folding, etc.) of printed collateral resulting in a finished product that meets the graphic designer's specifications. Helps prepare a variety of products using computer word processing and desktop publishing programs and processes documents involving many different styles and arrangement of materials. Proofs all work orders prior to completion. Responsible for distribution of JBSA magazines to all FSS activities and JBSA partners, BX and Commissary. Acts as the focal point for promotion of current events and customer service. Assists graphic designers in the fulfillment of simple work orders using computer design software. Assists in the development of and the conducting of surveys. Assists Marketing Operations Supervisor in the dissemination of surveys and tallying results Conducts visits or phone calls to FSS activities to obtain information, then edits the information and prepares it in the correct format for submission to the Daily Bulletin (if available), for the magazine and the public affairs insert. Composes briefs and articles for public affairs, using Associated Press guidelines. Attends FSS events to obtain information through interviews and to take pictures. Tracks printer supply usage and prepares reports essential to ordering to meet all ordering deadlines. Collects and compiles information from FSS activities for Master Events Calendar and Master of Hours of Operation and organizes for submission to JBSA Marketing Director. Works special events; publicity, setup and customer service. Arranges and tracks pickup of completed work orders, DVDs and other media created by Marketing. Manages promotional distribution ensuring all materials are distributed to the appropriate location in a timely and accurate manner. Performs both internal and external customer service. Assists with a variety of special events such as Monte Carlo Night, Oktoberfest and Air Show. Acts as government vehicle manager; responsible for maintaining driving logs, ensuring maintenance and upkeep. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD or EdD or ABD in Education, Curriculum, or closely related field of study

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in K12 Schools
• Experience working with diverse students, using distance learning technology, and/or building relationships in rural settings
• Candidate’s research agenda and teaching philosophy should demonstrate clear commitment to innovative teaching and learning, and equity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or expertise teaching elementary students, including STEM content areas and literacy
• Experience teaching in higher education in undergraduate and/or graduate programs
• Experience teaching online and hybrid courses and/or use of a learning management system (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard etc.)
