Processes annually more than 4 million pieces of official and personnel mail at three official mail centers JBSA Ft Sam Houston, Lackland AFB and Randolph AFB Official Mail Centers (OMC), six postal service centers, Randolph Postal Service Center (PSC), Lackland Postal Service Centers (PSC #2, #3 and #7) and a Student Mail Center (SMC) and Benner Barracks at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston.
• Accountable Mail: To provide accountability and control of classified communications; to provide document security services; and to provide office automation and clerical support for the Operations Flight. Receives, records, sorts, transports, controls, and processes all incoming and outgoing special services mail, i.e. registered, express, certified, insured, and other various extra service articles personally through the window to the addressee/authorized agent and to various organizations and mailrooms designated mail orderlies and mail clerks.
• Provides expedient and complete mail like matter services sent via commercial carriers. Responsible for securely receiving, controlling and processing commercial carrier parcels (i.e. UPS and FedEx parcels).
• To provide first-line defense of Mail Security for JBSA customers and serviced activities. Responsible for knowing the characteristics of suspicious mail items and the proper procedures for handling and reporting suspicious mail items to the proper authorities.
• Maintains and Operates as a Unit Mail Clerk. Responsible for assigning and withdrawal of receptacles for TDY, student and permanent party postal lock boxes, changing combinations/keys, redirecting undeliverable mail.

• Prepare draft appointment orders detailing off icers to conduct AR 15-6 investigations, administrative separation boards, and Article 32 hearings for review and coordinates with the appropriate attorney to schedule their briefings and legal reviews.

• Provide commanders with advice and assistance on matters pertaining to protocol and customs of the organization and courtesies of other countries.
• Train tasked drivers as needed in support of distinguished visitors' transportation requirements.

The Research Assistant will support CRS analysts in their objective, nonpartisan public policy analysis for and consultation with congressional clients. 

The duties of the Research Assistant include:

• Supporting the work of analysts preparing analytical and descriptive written products that inform congressional understanding of public policy issues and consideration of policy proposals.

Performs and/or assists in operation and maintenance of the Fitness and Sports prog1'am and facilities. Conducts, teaches and leads group exercises classes. Prepares choreographed routine for each class. Demonstrates a command of effective class format, leadership skills, and sensitivity to all levels of fitness. Demonstrates knowledge in exercise physiology, kinesiology, injury prevention, cardiovascular and medical considerations, nutrition, and body composition. • Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled, at the assigned aquatics facility. Develops swim program according to students' ability and promotes students to higher level of swimming according to their skills.

• Incumbent's main job duty will focus on instructing patrons of a recreational facility in horsemanship, applying practical knowledge of equestrian activities.
