An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Advanced Training Fellow in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. This post will provide an excellent chance to further develop your skills in both Obstetrics and/or Gynaecology with a view of being twinned with the gynae ward. The department has a strong reputation in numerous areas such Urogynaecology, Gynae-oncology, Fetal Medicine, Ambulatory Gynaecology and BSGE accredited Endometriosis Centre as well as a centre of excellence for both undergraduate and postgraduate education. The departments gynaecological and obstetric practice is diverse. Emergency gynaecology services and early pregnancy unit are supervised through the on-call Gynaecologist as well as the Gynaecologist of the Morning. Clinical responsibilities will include attending outpatient clinics, inpatient and day case theatre sessions, Labour ward/maternal assessment unit.

Your new school
This secondary school in Stafford is a large secondary school and always reaches its capacity ahead of new intakes. The staff here have been at this school for many years, which has kept its SLT reputation solid. You will be working at a GOOD Ofsted rated school where they are always striving for improvements to make their school as good as possible for both staff and pupils.

Your new role
You will be taking on a full-time Science role from January 2025, and will be required to teach all three sciences to both KS3 and KS4 pupils for one term in full, covering a planned operation. Having a candidate with a specialism in chemistry or biology would be advantageous, although not essential. The role will require you to take on the planning and preparation required, along with being able to complete assessments for the pupils you teach. This role will be on a full-time basis. However, for the right candidate, four days would also be considered.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need to hold QTS in the UK. Experience teaching all three science subjects is essential. Both fully qualified teachers and ECTs are encouraged to apply.
