About the role
The Guinness Partnership has an exciting new opportunity for an Area Housing Manager (Extra Care) to oversee and monitor the delivery of housing management services in Guinness Extra Care housing across the South West.

You will be leading a team of Extra Care Scheme Managers across the region, ensuring that Guinness deliver a visible, accessible, face to face service to renting customers, shared owners, and homeowners, ensuring the delivery of great customer service. You will work collaboratively with adult social care commissioners and other key stakeholders to ensure that our homes are let in line with targets, as well as ensuring our sites are well maintained and health & safety compliance actions are completed on time.

You will need a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle for this role, as you will be expected to travel between the schemes in Devon, Bristol, Bath, Swindon and Gosport (mileage is paid).

We have an exciting opportunity to work as part of the South West Performance and Delivery Admin Hub. This hub provides support for the directorate and programmes within it. This role is a key part of the team, and is responsible for providing high quality administrative support to the Regional Operations Centre (ROC) so that the team can operate and run smoothly on a day to day basis.

As a Specialist Children in Care Nurse, the post holder will have excellent communication skills in order to provide empathetic, trauma-informed health advice and support to children and young people in care and care leavers. The post holder will complete comprehensive statutory review health assessments and health interventions with children and young people in the care of Plymouth Local Authority and to those placed in Plymouth by other authorities, as detailed in "Promoting the health and wellbeing of Looked After Children" (updated 2022). The post holder will provide expert clinical advice, deliver health education and work in collaboration with partner agencies (Childrens Social Care teams, Fostering, Education, and other statutory and voluntary organisations) who work with Children in Care. The post holder will be required to take a lead role in compiling and implementing health plans for this very vulnerable group of children and young people. This will be achieved by improving the co-ordination, access and delivery of health care to Children and Young People in Care and Care Leavers, both living in and out of area who are the responsibility of Plymouth Local Authority, and those placed in Plymouth by other Local Authorities. Responsibility for People Management Work with other health and social care professionals to ensure improved health outcomes for Children in Care and Care Leavers Support and advise colleagues in the clinical assessment and care of children and young people, as part of own clinical role, whilst being clear about others personal clinical professional accountability Supervision and/or mentoring of team members/students Plan and deliver training for health staff, foster carers and Social Care staff about the health and wellbeing of children in care Work with other professionals to evaluate training and adapt provision to meet the learning needs of participants. Responsibility for financial and/or physical resources To take responsibility for the safety and security of equipment, including phones, laptop, measuring equipment and other devices issued by Livewell, and to report any faults in a timely way. Responsibility for administration To plan the health assessments allocated on a weekly basis, ensuring they are undertaken within statutory timescales To liaise with other professionals to ensure a robust health assessment is undertaken Formulate meaningful individual healthcare plans and monitor their implementation Review health records, compile and analyse holistic health chronologies and provide written comprehensive reports detailing the implications of the information for the childs current and future health and wellbeing, Ensure records are written contemporaneously and that they meet Safer Information standards Responsibility for people who use our services Able to communicate and engage effectively with children and young people in care, ensuring that they have the opportunity to participate in decisions affecting them as appropriate to their age and ability. The role of Health Care Support Worker within the Health Inclusion Pathway-Plymouth service is: Assist registered nurses in delivering high standards of care to vulnerable patients in the homeless care system who are utilising emergency accommodation, temporarily housed or street homeless. Communicate and liaise effectively with patients, carers and members of the primary health care team including 3rd party, statutory and voluntary services. To undertake specific clinical tasks as delegated by members of the Health Inclusion Pathway-Plymouth team, having once undertaken relevant training and deemed competent. Working in line with the Livewell Southwest Delegation to Band 3 support workers guidance. To report and record incidents and near misses relating to health, safety, security, fire, physical violence, aggression and verbal abuse. To maintain accurate records, which are confidential, contemporaneous, and legible, with all care given documented at the time. The post holder will be expected to participate in standard of patients records by audit or peer review and have a regular open discussion with team members. To have a working knowledge and be responsible for ensuring nurses and patients equipment is in safe working order, disposed of or returned when no longer required as per Policy and to inform Line Manager if any problems occur. Service Care Legal are currently working alongside employee focused Local Authority, based in Devon, which is in need of an experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join their team.

ROLE: Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer (must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister)

RATE: £50-£55ph

LOCATION: Devon, REMOTE

CONTRACT LENGTH: 3 months ongoing

The duties involved in the Senior Adult Social Care Lawyer role

• Deal with an Adult Social Care legal files from start to completion

• The role will deal primarily with Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard challenges and s16 applications in the Court of Protection as well as more general Mental Capacity Act advice.
• The successful candidate will also be required to assist in other areas of Adult Social Care including Ordinary Residence disputes, Care Act duties and Mental Health Act matters.
• The successful candidate will also oversee the whole process of each case from pre-proceedings through to completion of the final hearing.

The Person:

• Someone who has 3+ years of PQE in Adult Social Care Law
• Someone who has an understanding of the structural framework of Local Authority Law and has worked at a Local Authority before
• Someone who is able to deal with their own caseload independently whilst also assisting others with theirs
