Our clients require care 24/7 therefore weekend work is required but a shared responsibility to give you some free weekend time, this ensures our clients always receive the support that they need. Shift patterns are 7.5hrs. There are opportunities of an enhanced rate over time although this is not mandatory.

An excellent opportunity to join us at Allied care in one of our registered nursing homes with (20) beds in (Plymouth/Devon). We are seeking UK NMC Registered Nurses to join our team working at our 20 bedded care home with nursing. Experience in working with adults 18-65 with learning disabilities and health conditions would be an advantage.

Responsibilities and Duties
Our nurses support adults with nursing needs, learning disabilities, and mental ill-health conditions in a nursing home environment and work on a 12-hour shift pattern, mostly night shifts but you may be asked to cover some days. Including supporting with nursing needs, daily living skill development, personal care, and working with some behaviors which may present as challenging. Full induction, mandatory training, and regular support and supervision are provided to include Clinical supervision.
You will be expected to support the Home Manager and assistant manager with all aspects of nursing care from the assessment of need, designing support plans, and delivery of care.

Since vulnerable people need care all the time, we do ask that you work weekends but not all, this ensures our service users always have the support required. This is a full-time role (36-hour contract) with the opportunity of overtime although this is not mandatory. Registration with NMC essential.

The role of the general maintenance operative is to ensure that the premises and grounds are maintained to a high standard. As our Maintenance operative, you’ll be a valuable member of our staff, promoting the well-being of our service users and the successful running of our care home.

This role covers our services in Plymouth, South West England.

The ideal candidate will have maintenance experience in a social care and health care setting, and have good literacy and numeracy skills. A qualification in one aspect of maintenance (e.g., plumbing), would be preferred, but not essential as full training given. The ideal candidate will have a general knowledge of all aspects of household maintenance, and be able to identify when an outside contractor is required and advise accordingly.

This is a full-time contract Monday – Friday with some element of emergency on-call expected to include paid call-outs if necessary.

You will be working jointly with the Home Managers to ensure that our homes are maintained to the highest of standards. Your responsibilities will include -

Liaise with home manager to prioritise and complete maintenance tasks.
General care home maintenance (moving of furniture, mowing/weeding, clearing drains and soil pipes, painting and decorating, and hanging pictures. Mending leaks. Changing taps. Includes ladder work.
Ensure all ventilation units and lights are kept clean. Replace any defective light bulbs/diffusers
Liaise with Home Manager or delegated Staff Member regarding maintenance work to be carried out
Ensure all equipment used by the maintenance operative is clean and well maintained
Checking control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc.
Install appliances and equipment
Check functionality of safety systems
Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems
Record keeping for tasks identified and completed
Manage a small maintenance budget and keep records of expenditure

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Post Clinical To undertake client interventions and reviews by CCRT workers, regularly meeting the relevant professionals to discuss progress, and reporting back if any problems occur. To carry out multi-disciplinary treatment plans on behalf of the team incorporating elements of all disciplines treatments as delegated and taught by those professions within the team. To seek advice and supervision from the CCRT senior worker within the team as necessary to ensure appropriate patient management and care. To raise safeguarding alerts in line with LWSW procedure. To manage your own calendar of appointments and visits, booking mutually convenient appointments, joint visits, etc. directly with patients, relatives, carers, colleagues etc. This requires a high level of time management and organisational skills. Ensure that patients, relatives and carers are kept fully informed of progress following intervention. Due to the diverse and complex nature of the caseload, this requires the ability to communicate complex information to meet a range of levels in understanding, and to overcome such barriers as e.g. hearing loss, cognitive impairment, dysphasia, pain, fear, social and cultural differences. To support and encourage patients, their relatives and carers in an active approach to regaining and maintaining maximal functional independence. To provide planned and spontaneous advice and instruction on specific elements of goal planning to relatives, carers, and other agencies involved in the patients care in order to ensure consistency of approach. To work closely with other health and social care colleagues and service providers to ensure patients identified intermediate care goals are met. To prescribe basic equipment and minor adaptions under prescribers guidelines and with guidance, where required, from a senior therapist. To attend multi-disciplinary/multi-agency case conferences, liaison, meetings and patient reviews as necessary and appropriate. To actively participate in personal development training needs. To maintain your clinical competencies through mandatory training and external training opportunities where appropriate. To contribute to CCRT service development. To contribute in audit and clinical governance activities. To undertake Clinical Supervision in line with the LWSW supervision policy. To participate in the LWSW staff Appraisal Scheme including the formulation of Personal Development Plans. To participate in promoting CCRT and provide planned and ad hoc training to other health and social care professions and agencies on the role of support worker in CCRT. To support new and less experienced members of all disciplines, both formally and informally, including students and placements with CCRT. Organisational To manage your own work priorities, balancing clinical, professional and organisational demands. To take a flexible approach to supporting colleagues in times of caseload pressure, including working with colleagues to maintain support across the team within the resources available. To bring faulty equipment and materials to the notice of the manager and take immediate action to ensure such equipment and materials are withdrawn from service until fit for use. To comply with LWSW policies on the testing and maintenance of equipment. To be aware of, and act upon, LWSW and safety policies, including the prompt recording of any accident, incident, or other untoward event involving self, patients or other staff. To take reasonable care for personal health and safety. To undertake any other duties considered reasonable and appropriate by CCRT manager.

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Pastoral Support Assistant supports the Head of Year as the core link between student and staff in relation to each individual student within the Year, and as part of the school’s wider Inclusion Team. The Pastoral Support Assistant works to ensure that each student:

• achieves their personal academic potential
