Service / Engineering Coordinator

Due to additional customer demand, a manufacturer of specialist equipment based in Witney require a Service/Engineering Coordinator.

The company have an experienced team covering the UK and a customer base throughout the UK, Europe and Africa.

You will be part of a small but skilled team, who focus on product quality and quality of service to their customers.

You will be responsible for the provision and delivery of equipment to customer sites, plus the coordination and supply of skilled service and commissioning engineers.

Duties also include the booking of customer and supplier visits, providing quotations to customers and prospective customers, assessing and collating reports, along with elements of materials, stock control and purchasing.

Good communication skills are key, along with an engineering or technical aptitude.

Previous materials control, parts experience or customer service experience is highly desirable.

Hands-on technicians or engineers with a desire to move into a more administrative or organisational role, would also be suitable for this position.

A Driver's License is required for occasional assistance with the delivery of parts or components.

Job Purpose

The post holder will work within the Adult Mental Health Team, providing mental health treatment in the community for patients with mental needs identified within Cluster 4-17 Supporting patients to work towards their own recovery. About Us

Teaching Assistants and Communication Support Workers (CSW) are an essential part of the educational team working with children and young people who are deaf in Oxfordshire educational settings. About the Role

We are seeking Teaching Assistants or Communication Support Workers with a calm, encouraging and positive manner to work with deaf children and young people in the Deaf and Hearing Support Resource Bases at New Marston Primary School, Cherwell School in Oxford or City of Oxford College. No previous knowledge of working with deaf pupils is required.

The deaf pupils supported by the base have a range of communication modes and learning styles. Some speak and listen as their primary mode of communication, some use sign language together with speaking and listening, and some are British Sign Language users.

The role is permanent and is term time only (39 weeks per year).

About you

You will have the ability to communicate sensitively and appropriately with children, young people, families, and colleagues. You work positively as part of a team but also feel confident to work independently and take initiative when needed.

You have a good level of basic education (e.g. Grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English or equivalent) or equivalent professional experience.

Working closely with specialist Teachers of Deaf Children and Young People (ToDs), mainstream staff and other professionals to improve outcomes, your aim will be to enable access to the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion for the pupils you work with.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with children and young people with SEN or disability, but training will be given. We are particularly interested if you have a qualification in communicating with deaf people (preferably Level 2 CACDP or above, or a level of fluency in BSL at a comparable stage). If you have an interest in learning sign language, this role offers opportunities to develop these skills.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be resilient, creative, and adaptable.

No previous knowledge of working with deaf pupils is required but would be an advantage. A passion for working with children and young people to make a difference and improve their access to learning is essential.
