Support to Live Well is a service which enables and supports people, families and carers to lead a better everyday life. The service is provided to people assessed to need support under the Care Act 2014 including people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Asperger’s, PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities), Physical Disabilities and people at risk of potential Challenging Behaviour.
The aim is to support the Council priorities to enhance skills and education, support safe, strong and cohesive communities and improve health and wellbeing. People are supported in a truly person-centred way with their full involvement and that of families and carers.
We focus on individual strengths and personal development to enable people to fulfil their aspirations. Our commitment is to support families / carers with their caring responsibilities as well as enabling them to lead their own lives.
The Deputy Team Manager will provide management and leadership support to the Support to Live Well Manager. This role has specific responsibilities for the transition of young people from children services to adult services. This is a crucial post that operates cross functionally collaborating closely with care management professionals, education providers and children’s services. The aim is to ensure that the young person’s experience is seamless and positive, based on a “life course approach”.

About you
We are looking for a passionate, agile, and dynamic Deputy Team Manager. You'll need in-depth experience within social care environment and proven experience of managing or supervising staff.
You’ll be able to inspire and motivate your senior staff to deliver a high-quality service which is continuingly evolving to meet current and future demand.
Your knowledge of the needs of Older Persons and individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Behaviours that Challenge will aid you in making sound professional judgements and deliver better outcomes for the individual and service.
We do ask that you have a management qualification equivalent to Level 4 within social care management or equivalent relevant experience.
