There are 3 permanent and 3 fixed term vacancies available. Bramble has 26 inpatient beds on the Acute Paediatric Unit and 6 day-case surgical beds. We care for Children and Young People (CYP) with a wide variety of medical, general surgical, orthopaedic and oncological conditions as well as those requiring high dependency care. We also care for CYP admitted onto the ward with an additional mental health need, including those with an eating disorder/ disordered eating and those at risk of self-harm. To ensure you're well supported in this role, Bramble ward offers bespoke HCSW training days, mandatory study days and other training opportunities including mental health study sessions. You will also be supported through our band 6 management support groups. The role will involve working on the inpatient ward as part of the Nursing Team, having allocated patients (under the supervision of a Registered Nurse). There will also be opportunities to work within the CYP Day Care, CYP Outpatient Departments and CYP Emergency Assessment Unit. You will, at times, be expected to work in any area within the Trust where CYP are nursed.
