Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical or Multiskilled)

The Company:
Are you an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician? Candidates from either a Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance background will be considered as there are two new roles within this busy engineering facility. In this swing shift role (combining earlies, lates and nights) you will be responsible for the daily maintenance and repair (preventative and emergency) of a wide range of production and engineering machinery. Previous experience in an Industrial Maintanence Engineering role is essential.

Job Responsibilities:

- Minimise production downtime by trouble shooting breakdowns and preventing reoccurrences.
- Work with electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation undertake fault finding and modification of plant and equipment.
- Use a Maintenance Management System carry out preventative/ planned maintenance work.

Cook - 40 hours per week including alternate weekends (4 X 10 hour shifts, 7am-5pm per week).

As a Cook at Parkland House, rated Outstanding by CQC, you will work as part of a team who provide the best care for the people living in our homes and be a part of the next chapter in their story.

You will get to know them and what matters the most to them so you can support them in the best way possible, recognising their individual choice.

You will lead and work with the catering team to provide nutritious, well balanced, attractive meals to support the people living in our homes to live well.

You will ensure we cater for those with special dietary needs and offer choice so that individual needs are met.

You will organise the smooth running of the kitchen by working with and delegating appropriate tasks to the catering team.

You will have responsibility for the day to day operation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is clean and in good, safe working order and maintain hygiene standards.

You will maintain appropriate records to comply with HACCP, Company standards and legislation.

Every day is different and hard work is required, but each day, you will go home knowing you have made a difference to their lives.

We provide online training, along with face to face support, supervision and a full induction.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will work as part of a team to provide the best care for the people living in our homes and be a part of the next chapter in their story.

You will get to know them and what matters the most to them so you can support them in the best way possible, recognising their individual choice.

You will lead and co-ordinate the care and support team working within the home whilst running the shift; mentoring, supporting and managing the team to provide the very best person-centred care.

You will be responsible working with the team for the safety and wellbeing of the people living, working and visiting the home.

You will support people with daily living routines including personal care, offer emotional support, encourage social activities within the home and update electronic care plans and risk assessments (from pre-admission onwards) and ever-changing needs of individuals.

More detail about the role The post can be full or part time, as desired, and will be based in both Primary and Secondary Care in Exeter and Barnstaple under supervision. This role can be based in either Barnstaple or Exeter with the option to work one day at the other base. Additional attachments and/or projects may also be arranged at other specialist centres and teaching hospitals within the region. The team have excellent external professional networks, and regularly collaborate with the regional Sedation Network, Managed Clinical Networks (Special Care Dentistry, Paediatrics and Urgent Care) and Dental Public Health, South West Cleft Service, Bristol and London teaching hospitals. RDUH Salaried Dental Service provides dental care services to all the patient groups accessing the Salaried Dental Service. Treatment modalities include non-pharmacological behaviour management techniques, acupuncture, conscious sedation and treatment with general anaesthetic. There will be opportunity to work within a supportive senior clinical team, where the post holder can provide treatment in our special care clinics and hospitals, as well as domiciliary care. We work closely with our Oral Surgery colleagues within the service, and with multidisciplinary teams, including Learning Disability, Oral Health Promotion and Managed Clinical Network colleagues. Attendance at national and international conferences, regional meetings and study days can be supported with prior agreement. Similarly, the successful applicant will also be able to develop professional generic skills and participate in quality improvement, poster presentations, audit and research.
