We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Homelessness Prevention Advisor to join a team based in Camden on a full-time temporary ongoing basis. The post holder will be responsible for providing advice, assistance, and support to members of the community seeking housing advice, and actively working to reduce homelessness in the community. This role requires in-depth knowledge of housing legislation and welfare benefits. This is a specialist role that works closely with homelessness, in compliance with the Council's obligations under the Housing Act 1996.
Requirements

• Previous experience working in a similar role, within housing options, homelessness prevention, or social housing
• Knowledge of housing legislation, policies, and procedures, including the Homelessness Reduction Act
• Knowledge of relevant services and benefits to best support applicants experiencing housing problems and at risk of homelessness
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and accessible manner
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet deadlines
• Housing related qualification desirable
• Experience providing an effective service to members of the public
• Experience working alongside vulnerable customers

Role Expectations

• Build relationships with those at risk within the community, support them and offer realistic housing options advice to prevent homelessness
• Develop, update review, and implement Personalised Housing Plans for customers

UCLH is seeking a skilled individual to join their IT Service Delivery Management team in Digital Health Care. As a Service Delivery Analyst, you will ensure the delivery and continuity of digital and technology services across the Trust, working with the Head of Service and Vendor Management, other members of the Senior managers, and our outsourced suppliers 24/7, 365 days a year.

UCLH hosts one of Europe’s largest Haematology services in Europe with a 98-bed inpatient unit spread across the recently opened Grafton Way Building and UCLH Tower. The service is nationally and internationally recognised for delivering specialist care for patients with blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, including those undergoing stem cell transplantation, as well as patients with other blood diseases such as sickle cell disease and rare thrombotic conditions. The team is made up of over 150 inpatient nursing staff, approximately 50 consultants, 30 junior doctors, 30 administrators and a large multidisciplinary team of expert support staff. The size of the service has allowed the formation of highly-specialised disease-specific teams who are able to provide expert care 24/7, as well as a leadership role across the sector in areas such as CAR T, TTP and Red Cell services. We have an extensive clinical trials portfolio, supported by a wide range of research programmes through close academic links with UCLH.

We have an exciting opportunity for a fixed term Service Manager post within the Clinical Haematology team. The post-holder will mainly be responsible for the management of a clinical team’s administrative staff, which includes Team leaders and pathway coordinators and facilitating an excellent, high-quality service for our patients.

Essentials Skills & Duties of a Service Manager:

Developing and implementing evidence based individualised care packages, therapeutic interventions, and individualised activity programmes;
Leading and supervising the support team to deliver the highest standards of person-centred care using clinical governance and their own personal development;
You will be familiar in areas concerning sickness management, staff training and development, and coaching and mentoring. You will have an effective way of communicating with your team;
Be able to communicate and engage effectively with our service users, their families and colleagues, good interpersonal and working relationship skills are essential;
Have a good understanding of the disabilities, health and social care needs, of service users and assist those who have mobility or continence needs, using the appropriate aids and equipment;
Provide appropriate levels of care and support to ensure that personal hygiene needs are met, (washing, dressing, bathing, using the toilet);
It is essential to be Health and Safety aware, to ensure the safety of our services users and colleagues.



The Ideal Candidate

QCF Level 5 or working towards
Previous experience as an extra care or supported living service manager
Held registration as a CQC manager
A strong knowledge of person-centred care
Experience of working closely with service users, assessing their needs and delivering care that helps each person to live a fuller life
You’ll provide the very best levels of care, make sure that all procedures are carried out to the highest of standards and optimising the wellbeing of every resident
