Our engineering specialist client based in Merseyside is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

This is a full time, permanent role based in Liverpool, offering between £45,000 - £55,000 for the right person.

The purpose of the role is to manage projects and to deal with all technical and construction issues relating to the Mechanical installation. You would also be required to attend monthly design meetings, assess contractor valuations, carry out site inspections, witness test installations and issue snagging reports.

You will have the ability to take a project from conception through to completion using prepared client brief documents as well as the ability to produce proposal documents. You should be able to convert this information into a working set of Mechanical drawings and Mechanical specifications both for tender and construction.

Candidates will be expected to:

• Have up to 8 years experience within an M&E Consulting environment.
• Be HNC or degree qualified. Chartered or working towards chartership.
• Have working knowledge of Autocad/Revit and IES.
• Lead schemes from inception through to completion and work to deadlines.
• Be capable of producing high quality Mechanical Services Design.
• Be a strong team player, who takes pride in their work and wants to progress their career.
• Help with the development of younger members of staff.

The post holder will work into CQC registered Care Homes across Liverpool Place to identify mental health needs (both organic and functional). This is a dynamic role that will work closely with Care Homes to develop and deliver training, to formulate complex clinical presentations and provide specialist consultation as required. As this is a new post the role will support Care Homes to implement clinical policies at a local level to ensure the delivery of consistent high quality service.

With all of this in mind we are interested to hear from health care professionals (nurse, or allied health professionals) who are clinically experienced working with older people, dynamic in their approach to practice and highly motivated to engage with this exciting new role which affords both a clinical and educational interface.

The post-holder will work with the Enhance Health in Care Homes (EHCH) Team in the development of clinical and basic care skills within CQC Registered Care Homes. Will work with EHCH Team to identify mental health needs in care homes, align these to the current skills of the
care home workforce and will develop and deliver training to individuals, groups or teams providing specialist advice as required. Will provide practical support to care home teams with the implementation of clinical policies at a local level to ensure consistent high-quality service.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

To communicate and liaise with appropriate local and external stakeholders/agencies to enable the development of clinical practice.

To assist in the interpretation of national initiatives and to ensure that local clinical practice developments are in line with these initiatives.

To participate in the development, implementation and review of clinical standards, policies and care pathways to support practice.

To use own professional judgement when developing programmes of learning.

To cascade learning from development work to staff and managers.

To assist the EHCH Team to ensure that all clinical risks and risk management issues relating to clinical practice development are addressed.

To ensure appropriate training records, up to date spreadsheets and databases with training information are readily available, providing written reports when required.

To ensure the production of reports as requested of training/support given to staff.

To help maintain good communication, liaison and working arrangements within the Clinical Skills Team, Trust Divisions, other Trusts and other agencies.

To keep up to date will all relevant guidance and NHS initiatives and ensure the effective dissemination of relevant information as directed.

To contribute to relevant projects in relation to the development of the Trust’s organisation objectives as required/appropriate.

To comply with all relevant Trust policies and procedures.

To undertake any necessary skills training, professional updates and mandatory training as appropriate to the post.
