The Lead MSA's working knowledge of various policies and procedures relating to the business rules regarding scheduling, clinical access, and the proper flow of work within the team contributes significantly to the daily business activities. The Lead MSA performs a variety of administrative functions associated with the scheduling of patient care for the clinical programs at the VA Boston Healthcare System.
Duties include but are not limited to:

• Ensures readiness for the patient visits through scheduling appointments and consults.
• Monitors clinics' access to care
• Monitors Insurance Capture Buffer (ICB) usage, ensuring insurance is collected at the time of appointments.
• Keep aware of rapidly changing regulations, directives, software patches, programs and processes involved in the delivery of the healthcare benefits package.
• Assist with the clean-up of the Encounter Action Required Report (EARR) and delinquent recall report and support clinics regarding utilization and clinic profile management.
• Receives and screens phone calls.
• Prepares correspondence and memos as needed.
• Promotes veteran registration for and utilization of MyHealtheVet (MHV).
• Stocks basic office supplies as needed.
• Assists veterans seeking emergent/urgent care and schedules appointments accurately.
• Utilizes call lists and telephones veterans to pre-register them before their visits when necessary.
• Oversee the status of work for all lower grade MSA positions working in the various clinical services.
• Make day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities.
• Provides on-the-job training for new and current employees.
• Assist Supervisor MSA and leadership on taskings as needed.
• Assists with all other duties as assigned by Supervisor MSA

As a Wildlife Refuge Manager your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversees, reviews and approves land and aquatic conservation activities, habitat creation, restoration, and contaminant projects, research studies, population studies, wildlife inventory, and monitoring activities to include species lifecycle requirements and management at assigned Refuge/WMD(s).
• Develops and maintains partnerships with other Federal, state, and local agencies, private organizations, and special interest groups to protect lands around the Refuge/WMD(s). Manages and carries out active stewardship of natural resources beyond the boundaries of the Refuge/WMD(s) to improve, enhance, and protect trust resources over large geographic areas.

• Administers the facilities and equipment management program. Develops various work plans and organizes projects covering the construction, repair and maintenance of equipment, buildings, roads, trails, fences, dikes, and other infrastructure.

This position perform the full range of custodial work including: cleaning and servicing vault toilets, buildings, campgrounds, and emptying trash receptacles. These positions are required to operate a government vehicle to perform assigned work and may provide general labor assistance to others in the maintenance of buildings, grounds, roads, trails, etc. These are uniformed positions and must be able to respond to visitors politely.

This position encompasses the following responsibilities in partnership with the Administrative Officer and the support of the section chiefs and supervisors. The incumbent ensures appropriate time mapping and resources to ensure they are empowered to meet expected proficiencies in administration, clinical practice, education, and research.

1. Administrative Duties:

• Obligations/Responsibilities: Attend staff meeting, communicate with PACT team staff and administrative personnel to help facilitate quality care and access to a panel of Veterans and to help in preparation of issue briefs related to adverse patient outcomes, congressional inquiries or any other non-judicial investigation/summary.
• Clinical Management including indirect patient care: Open encounter and open consult maintenance, CPRS documentation requirements, monitoring of clinic management. Maintains involvement in matters concerning clinic productivity, relevant performance, Quality and Patient Safety oversight, as well as process improvements (system redesigns)

Major duties include, but not limited to:

• Sets up and breaks down assigned station with the correct supplies and food items.
• Portions food items into standard serving sizes using the proper utensils and specified dishware.

The purpose of this position is to serve as a Supervisory Medical Support Assistant at a VA Connecticut Healthcare System. The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of assignments and provides supervisory administrative support to the assigned section. Work is performed collaboratively in a Interdisciplinary Coordinate Care delivery model (Patient Aligned Care Team or Specialty Care Setting). Duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Planning, organizing, and directing the work of lower medical support assistants.
• Establishing work priorities, identifying developmental training needs of employees and provides or arranges for training when required.
