Clinical Responsibilities
▪ To assist the qualified nursing staff in maintaining patient standards of care

Job Summary
Under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting the Ward / Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.

The post holder will undertake a range of tasks and duties as delegated by a

You will gain experience in managing critically unwell patients and skills relating to critical care medicine including line insertions; bronchoscopy; tracheostomy; drain insertion; transfer of level 2 and 3 patients to CT, MRI, interventional radiology and theatre. There is also the opportunity to learn ultrasound and ECHO skills.

You will be encouraged to develop your non-clinical skills and your portfolio by participating in audit, quality improvement projects, teaching, education and research. The unit is currently participating in several research studies coordinated by our Research lead Professor Welters and her team of research nurses and doctors.

The call centre is the main communications for the Liverpool University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. We receive approximately 130,000 calls per month and 20000 outpatient appointment calls per month.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team.

We are offering one 37.5 hour post with no set work pattern; you will be working according to the needs of the service. Previous roles in a similar environment preferential as we are looking for someone who has an understanding of NHS terminology and structure. Job Summary
