• Inspect real property assets in support of facilities utilization function and physical inventory validation.

The Role of A Senior Quantity Surveyor:

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for working with the Regeneration team to deliver profitable projects within agreed timescales.

This role will report to the Managing Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Director and will carry out the following:

* Working within a team to successfully deliver projects ranging from £1-£10 million within a variety of sectors

* Responsibility for all commercial aspects of a project including: o Valuation of works, manage subcontract accounts and payments

o CVRs o Preparation and negotiation of final accounts, cost reporting, value engineering o Assisting the procurement department in producing robust subcontract orders

o Preparation of quantities for the Preconstruction department

o Promote commercial awareness throughout the Project team

A client within the public sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a Property Business Partner to join their team as soon as possible. The Role

Key purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of property and estate related capital projects and programmes across a defined portfolio which could include Regeneration, Arts, culture & Leisure or Schools

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• provide a critical enabling role to facilitate the successful delivery of the service directorates-built environment priorities.
• develop strong working relationships with stakeholders from across the Council team and provide them with assurance that their requirements from property and projects are embedded within the Strategic Asset Management Plan

The Candidate

To be considered for this role you will require to have a degree in a building, engineering or construction related subject. MRICS or CIOB Qualified with demonstrable post qualification experience as a Building Surveyor, Project Manager or Quantity Surveyor.

It will be essential to be in experiences in the below:

• Knowledge of traditional and modern building construction techniques, building regulations, CDM and safety legislation.
• Up to date knowledge of current and prevailing health & safety legislation and guidance, British Standards, Buildings Regulations and Codes of Practice.
• Up to date knowledge of the challenges facing the Education Sector including changes in regulatory pressures.
• Knowledge of construction contracts and frameworks.

A small but successful housing association with stock across West and North Yorkshire is looking to appoint a surveyor on a permanent basis within their repairs team.

Your new role
You will be responsible for managing and delivering housing surveys in line with HHSRS regulations, such as damp and mould, as well as specifying repairs and managing their timely completion using the NAT Fed Schedule of Rates (SORs). You will ensure work orders are accurate and compliant with standards, raising them using a tablet. This role requires strong administrative and IT skills to raise work orders and maintain accurate records.
You will also be involved in liaising and managing contractors and tenant expectations to ensure repairs are carried out to the highest possible level. The ideal candidate will possess both technical expertise in property surveying and a keen understanding of customer service, ensuring the needs of tenants are met with efficiency and professionalism.

What you'll need to succeed

• Extensive experience with and knowledge of HHSRS regulations and Awaab's law
• Strong proficiency in NAT Fed SORs, with the ability to raise accurate work orders and quotes based on survey findings.
• Exceptional administrative skills, including the ability to keep detailed and accurate records, managing high volumes of data
• You must have a full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle for this role. Must be happy to travel across West and North Yorkshire.
