In this role you'll bring the Health Transformation Programme and Data together. You'll be overseeing data products and analytics which will empower our teams to design, build and maintain truly transformative public services, that are so important to millions of people.

As a Senior Solution Architect, with a focus on Data Platforms, you will help our expert digital teams understand how to build services collaboratively, utilising shared components and working to best practice.

You will deliver the technical and architectural design elements of Health Transformation services.

That means working closely with engineering teams and other digital stakeholders to create value-for-money solution designs, working on DWP's core data architecture and digital strategy.

You will have the authority to advise, steer, and influence decisions at the heart of DWP's digital transformation. That might be through a product roadmap, presenting your architecture at a governance forums, or taking a complex concept and communicating it in a way that cuts through.

You will collaborate and network with other architects across DWP, and work day-to-day as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will share your domain knowledge and experience, including defining the tools and techniques most appropriate for our environment, and help drive the resolution of technical debt.

You will need the skills to:

• Modern Analytics and BI architectures - Data Mesh / Data Lakes / Data Lakehouse
• Schema and data acquisition design
• Able to assist in the development and implementation of Data Strategies
• Modern event-driven distributed architectures, and the implications for acquiring and managing distributed data sets

Role purpose / summary

This role is seeking an architect familiar with the technical designs and implementation of basic, enterprise-level data capability (ingestion; lake, warehouse, and lakehouse implementation; obfuscation and PII data handling; and onward use via data pipelines, ETL, etc.). Must be able to interpret and generate architectural designs, bring knowledge and experience around implementations and pitfalls, and strength in explaining, evidencing, and advocating for a solution design directly with clients. The main responsibilities of this role include the delivery and assessment of high quality learning programmes in Digital Art, across a range of levels of further education, higher education and / or apprenticeship provision, as well as undertaking a range of programme leadership, tutorial and programme administration duties.


This post requires a strong background in Animation or Illustration and the candidate must have proven track record of professional / vocational expertise in the creative industries.


The candidate must be qualified to honours degree level (Level 6) or qualified to the industry-recognised standard in a relevant field, hold a post-16 teaching qualification and English and maths qualifications at level 2, or be willing to achieve these within an agreed timeframe. It is desirable that the candidate has experience of effective programme leadership in FE, HE and / or Apprenticeships and has a proven track record of successful teaching and assessment practice.


An ability to self-manage workload, meet deadlines alongside strong oral and written communication skills and good IT skills are also essential. The hours of work will be flexible and may include evening and weekends according to demand. The role

* To design and deliver and maintain detail drawings, material specifications and other necessary supporting documentation for purchasing, production documentation and technical files.
* To maintain control and issue of registers of status of all drawings including issue, approvals and sign off both in hard copy within technical files and on company database.
* Maintenance and assembly of technical files.
* Construction of systems to automate drawing delivery for standard products for timely customer response.
* To design and detail bracketry, door arrangements, sub-assemblies and parts for production, installation, and sales purposes.
* To issue accurately and timely all necessary documentation to achieve contract and work commitments.
* To liaise with all pertinent management and operatives to ensure everybody is working towards a common goal.

Duties and key responsibilities:

* Liaise and receive product data from sales and provide cut list, material specification and test and inspection plans timely as required.
* Monitor and report times and dates to ensure delivery dates are met.
* Control of drawings and maintenance in registers, issues, dates, sign off.
* Liaise with sales and administration.
* Quality circles for eradication of NC’s (improvement opportunities).
* Completing SOP and procedures as required within QA system and general system processes and database.
* Work within teams on engineering, design and administration projects.
* General work requirements identified by management as appropriate.

Skills /training.

* Must hold a Draughtsman’s Diploma or associate degree (or equivalent)
* SOLID WORKS - Familiarity with system ability to print data (to be evaluated whether company will continue with solid works and if so, further training will be given).
* DATABASE - Good knowledge of system and ability to interact recording and updating relevant information and deliver KPI’s and reports.
* MICROSOFT OFFICE - good working knowledge of all software packages and planning software, including the ability to update manuals.

Creative Teaching Assistant: Secondary school position

Protocol Education is recruiting undergraduate and masters' students to be teaching assistants in schools across Newcastle and north Tyneside. We are in partnership with schools in Jesmond, Gosforth, Wallsend and Whitley Bay.

This role is perfect for students or graduates who have studied a creative course. Having a creative background helps engage with children during activities which may help improve their SEND or SEMH conditions. Learning support staff are also expected to be present during the student's lessons and support with their educational development in the core subjects. Furthermore, learning support staff may also be expected to assist the teacher with the production of the lesson.

We have both full time roles available for graduates and part time roles for those in your final year of university and wanting to gain some experience in education.
