Working with a highly skilled team of support workers, you will assist the registered Manager in the management and provision of 24 hour support across two supported living schemes.

You will be responsible for
• Providing practical and emotional support to people with learning disabilities as in addition to accessing opportunities for social inclusion
• Maximise service user outcomes by working closely with the service user, their family and friends, staff and involved professionals
• Coordinating the day to day running of the services that meets the needs of the service users
• Developing and managing staff, including deploying staff resources, staff training, supervision and appraisal
• Supporting managers with business planning and service developments

• Auditing of service paperwork on a monthly basis

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and/or complex needs as well as previous management experience is essential for this role.

The Intensive Support Service has been developed to provide a bespoke adapted supported living services in the Bury /Heywood area of Greater Manchester to adults over the age of 18 with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs and forensic histories.

The service will operate 24/7 using a trauma informed and case management model of care to move three adults out of long stay institutions into their own home in the community. We have developed the new and exciting role of Service Manager to provide operational leadership of the service in a dynamic and sensitive way.

The adults accepted into the service have been identified through the Transforming Care Agenda as those needing to move out of long stay institutions who display behaviour which challenges services.
Accommodation has been sourced and is being adapted around the individuals identified.

Due to the development of the service all staff members recruited will initially be required to work dynamically between the Registered Office and across inpatient settings to ensure the smooth development of the service and excellent transitions of service users until individuals are ready to move into their new home.

Our schools span from Birmingham to Bury, meaning that we can support students from all walks of life, no matter their background or socioeconomic status. In doing this, we can help ensure all children are able to access a high standard of education, with all being treated equally.
In our secondary schools, we pride ourselves on our innovative approach to curriculum design, to ensure all our schools have breadth and ambition for all pupils, regardless of their starting points and barriers. Standard curriculum models don’t always engage all pupils, so we constantly seek to innovate and provide better opportunities to develop both knowledge and skills for life. We want our pupils to believe their curriculum is bold, exciting, purposeful, and ultimately leads to something meaningful for them. Some examples of our innovation include moving towards an extended school day, to provide a world class enrichment programme and more opportunities for essential skills like reading and cultural capital. We are also introducing a vocational and technical pathways, which run through the normal school curriculum but attract support from leading employers and universities to develops work-readiness in our pupils, so that they can progress onto T Levels and apprenticeships.
Our secondary schools are currently driving ‘PedTech’ across the sector: we believe teaching and technology should go hand-in-glove and are passionately committed towards providing a fully digitally enhanced curriculum. We are very close to achieving full 1:1 device delivery and are sprinting towards better use of iPads in lessons to enhance the experience and learning.
Salary: SET G5 SCP 16 - 20 £23,893 - £25,119 FTE
Actual Salary: SET G5 16 - 20 £20,826 - £21,894.
Working hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Term Time only plus 1 week (39 weeks per year, 5 INSET DAYS)
