The Role
Reporting to the VP Marketing for the UGG brand, the Senior Director, Global Creative is responsible for Brand visual expression, voice, and its execution across all consumer touchpoints. They are also responsible for the creative for all campaigns and creative assets across retail, eCommerce, social and media required to support the seasonal marketing calendar. The expectation is to drive innovation, bold creative work, a cohesivive Brand Visual Center and an UGG universe that represents the brand globally. The media assets should drive customer acquisition, conversion, and frequency across channels and within each region.

Your Impact
Creative Brand Expression
- Define, evolve, own and implement the UGG Brand creative expression and ’ensure that it is executed through all touch points and placements
- Position our brand as a Global Fashion Lifestyle brand for the culture creators and culture changemakers
- Partner with insights to understand how our consumer segments and their content needs are evolving
- Engage key stakeholders on the content strategy and ensure delivery of the UGG visual center, styling ethos and brand visual guidelines
- Elevate the creative expression of the brand to a new level of bold, innovative and distinct expression of the brand and product
- Collaborate with regions, provide guard rails and partner with them on creative work and approvals
- Develop brand standards and visual language that includes logo, brand colors, photography and motion direction and other elements that influence the visual identity and brand voice for UGG.
- Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance. Ensure that brand guidelines and campaign guidelines are updated regularly
- Enhance storytelling for the brand and products that shares the UGG purpose, principles, values and origin story
Global Campaign Development, Content & Communications Strategy
- Lead the development of the solve process – directly leading and concepting campaign briefs and partnering with agencies to lead the seasonal and evergreen campaign work
- Partner with product marketing and cross functional teams to receive briefs and lead the creative response to the briefs
- Ensure global asset creation in partnership with North America, APAP and EMEA
- Ensure casting is in line with the UGG brand visual direction
- Partner with Brand coms on the solve process – response to creative brief
- Engage cross functional stakeholders in the vision, agree the business case and plan
- Lead all seasonal directives for creative assets
- Lead a close working relationship with the Omni, product marketing, Brand comms and ops teams for Toolkit production.
Digital and social transformation
- Lead the development of an updated creative strategy for the UGG eCommerce 3.0 – to focus on our culture creators and culture changemakers and
- Help reimaging and create online experiences
- Collaborate with social and PR to help align social and PR content within the brand universe
Retail Brand Expression and UGG Universe
- Conceptualize, design, produce and deploy all creative content for retai
- Conceptualize and design the retail Universe details – instore every green assets that should show up in wholesale, DTC retail and pop-up environments
- Create and lead the seasonal retail visual centers
- Work with cross functional peers to ensure Brand events and retail execution are on Brand
- Create trade marketing materials in support of US Wholesale accounts as well as seasonal dealer catalogs and selling materials
Innovation & Best Practice
- Drive a culture of tech innovation by bringing in new ways to be digital, and educate team and partners on emerging trends and best practices
- Contribute to ongoing development, evaluation and improvement of content creation, communication planning, and digital channel management.
- Drive collaboration across functions, fostering a trusting culture where people listen openly to the ideas of others, look for possibilities, ask for help when needed, and assume accountability for their contributions.
- Keep abreast of best practices in branding, marketing, content and digital communication.
Team and Cross Functional Leadership
- Instill and reinforce the highest standards for collaboration and teamwork within UGG and across the Deckers’ brand portfolio, with the goals of identifying synergies, fostering idea sharing and establishing common goals for profitable growth and continuous innovation

Who You Are
- Thinks creatively and strategically as well as is able to manage execution
- Strong ability in brand campaign development
- Expertise in digital creative disciplines with a strong understanding of social, UX needs and how to optimize creative across channels.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and presentation software (Keynote, PowerPoint) and competent in MS Office applications. Familiarity with project and asset management tools a plus.
- Experienced in retail marketing/creative
- Excellent communication and presentation skills that can be adapted for audiences across regions and at all levels of the organization
- Ability to anticipate project workload demands and scale resources by hiring freelancers as needed
- Ability to succeed in a matrix organization through influence, partnership and respect for shared and differing objectives.
- Highly motivated self-starter and team player
- Exhibits a high level of personal integrity, empathy, and respect for others
We’d love to hear from people with
- BA Graphic Design or relevant related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 16+ years’ experience in design and creative direction, including managing the photography art direction and cross channel expression for leading consumer brands
- Experience at the most senior creative leadership level in an in-house creative team or agency
- 8+ years practical experience leading a team of multidisciplinary creatives at varying levels of experience
- Fashion footwear and apparel industry preferred

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
