Leader Duties:

Duties:

Assists journey-level cement finishers by performing maintenance, repair and construction work on surfaces such as sidewalks, steps, walls, curbs and ramps.

• Create, review, and update inter-agency policies and develop and revise operational standards, policies, procedures and guidelines for a BIA-wide detention/correction and rehabilitation program and ensure that the program is compliant with Department and National Corrections and Jail Associations practices and regulations. The Chief Engineer supports the Deputy Architect and the Architect of the Capitol by managing the operational effectiveness and historic preservation of the buildings comprising the Capitol Complex and other significant off-site facilities, including more than 18.4 million square feet of facilities, 570 acres of grounds and thousands of works of art. 

The position is located in the Office of the Chief Engineer, Architect of the Capitol. The office has primary responsibility for the master planning, building performance audits, retro-commissioning and facility condition assessments. The office also manages the energy and sustainability program, provides project-funded, in-house construction services, supports critical Capitol campus systems and oversees the enterprise asset management and building automation systems.

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative leader with executive leadership experience to oversee the preservation of architectural and artistic elements as well as provide recommendations on design, construction and maintenance of facilities and grounds. In such capacity, the Chief Engineer performs duties such as following:

Major Duties Include:

Occupational Health Nurse Services

• Providing health care maintenance, diagnostic and therapeutic services, education and counseling while performing Occupational Health Nurse duties.
• Performing emergency assessment, diagnosis and initial treatment of injury or illness. Notifies the Attending Physician in cases where initial treatment is beyond the competence or scope of the incumbent for advice and assistance, and based on the circumstances, to expedite the conveyance of the patient to a physician or suitable medical facility at the request of or on behalf of the patient.
• Administering lifesaving procedures including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other emergency first aid procedures to stabilize a patient. Must be fully knowledgeable in the areas of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and other lifesaving procedures.
• Performing routine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, monitoring stress levels and evaluating the treatment. Provides emotional support to the patient and family by providing information on the treatment. Performs electrocardiograms for patients to diagnose abnormalities of a heart condition. MAJOR DUTIES

Materials Management

• Performing analytical work involving: managing, regulating or controlling the level and flow of materials, supplies and equipment through acquisition, storage, issue, utilization and disposal.
• Compiles, analyzes and summarizes information relating to the designated supply requirements for the Capitol Building (CB).
• Develops plans to define stock levels and frequency of reordering through normal acquisition channels, lead time, availability, storage or staging space, frequency of use and documentation requirements in order to provide installation support in buying, storing and transferring supplies.
• Maintains inventory control records in an automated system for parts and supplies needed in CB shop support, custodial and maintenance program
• Monitors usage transactions, verifies cost changes for parts and sub-assemblies and generally observes activity in each account to ensure that parts and supplies are available when required.
• Analyzes information and traces the sequence of transactions to resolve questions; prepare entries for supply record systems; provide supply information, reports and services; and recommend actions to eliminate problems involved in delivering services to supply customers or in implementing policies.

Inventory Management

• Maintains Accountable Property records for all shops using established policies, procedures and guidelines. Creates and processes all disposition reports for damaged, retired, non-usable Accountable Property.

As the Museum Specialist you will:

• Coordinates and manages the work processes of the PDE-I by means of work order requests, calendar scheduling and resource management tools. This role coordinates imaging across all studios, organizing photographer and art move schedules to maximize use of space and staff resources. Utilizes the work order management system (IRIS), NetX and TMS to perform the functions of asset discovery, quality assurance and delivery of work orders. Assist with image cataloging as needed. Conducts assignment and scheduling of projects based on institutional priority, space and staff resource availability. Manages client inquiries and expectations. Supports department staff and Department Head in achieving project objectives. Creates and maintains documentation of imaging project lists and assists with developing and executing project plans. Uses the Gallery’s collection management system (TMS) and NetX collections to retrieve information, produce reports and generate object photography lists. Coordinates with departmental staff to ensure accurate capture information is recorded in the Gallery’s digital asset management system (eDAM). Monitors and reports on project status using Wrike and any other relevant software applications.
• Proactively aids the department head with a variety of administrative functions, such as, creating budget reports, imaging statistics, image collections, assist with preparing presentations and Oracle/ dept credit card allocation of payments. Purchasing includes general office and photographic supplies, by means of the DIVS purchase card, as well larger purchases using purchase orders and Oracle. • Provides support to photographic staff with the movement of works of art into and out of PDE-I studios to ensure efficient use of time and facilities. Schedules projects in consultation and in collaboration with curators, conservators and Gallery officials, to establish the most appropriate setting or action.

As the Visual Information Specialist you will:

• Makes digital images of two and three-dimensional works of art using direct digital capture. Work is usually performed in a photographic studio, but also occasionally in off-site locations. The incumbent needs to use a variety of digital cameras, lenses and lighting equipment and is expected to apply wide professional knowledge and experience to achieve the highest quality images.
• The incumbent, in consultation with the Production Manager and Head of Imaging, coordinates routine and special imaging projects, provides mentoring, direction, and advises junior imaging staff on the best application of technique, proper use of equipment, and appropriate viewing/lighting conditions for imaging. Supports junior staff to ensure all imaging created across the department aligns with the quality standards set forth by the Head of Imaging Dept.
• Communicates workflow and system inconsistencies to the Head of Imaging and performs basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Schedules and coordinates the testing of Imaging software and photographic equipment with Color Scientist as required to ensure proper quality control.
