About the role



Leadership: The Manager for this role, John Jones, National Practice Manager, is based in Sydney and leads our Dynamics CRM and Power Services function. As an Architect, Dynamics 365 CRM with Insight, you will own and drive challenging projects and work with customers to understand functional and business requirements and design appropriate solutions. We will count on you to be an SME for strategic client opportunities and provide leadership and technical support to your teammates. Along the way, you will get to:

Assisting with developing new solution offerings, including training plans and sales enablement
Researching and evaluating client systems and architecture; drawing conclusions; and developing recommendations in accordance with engagement objectives
Discussing project scope and budget with the customer and directing project scope to be able to be implemented on time and budget without sacrificing quality

We are looking for a hands-on Architect with the following capabilities:

Consultative:

Demonstrable experience architecting, designing, and implementing advanced technical solutions
Understanding of functional and business requirements to make appropriate technology recommendations
Strong ability to cultivate relationships with partners, suppliers and clients in order to develop and share understanding of technology roadmaps
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner

The Enterprise Data Architecture Team has primary responsibility for ensuring the best use of data across the Department, supporting and overseeing the work of data architects across the Ministry of Defence’s complex business landscape. We champion the development of coherent data architecture strategies across the nineteen different Defence organisations to ensure that Defence’s data landscape is more than just the sum of its parts, minimising the time-to-data-value for data users and reducing the burden on data producers.

Reporting to the Chief Data Architect, the Lead Data Architect will have specific responsibility for developing our data fabric, including the enterprise Defence Data & Analytics Platform (DDAP), across the whole Defence enterprise, including front line operations, suppliers and the various public sector Defence organisations. You will engage with data teams and data users across the Defence enterprise to understand the user needs of the organisation. You will push us to improve our data landscape and champion the use of the right technology to reduce the time-to-value for data users. You will have a relentless focus on productivity and efficiency and ensure the various federated data teams across the Defence enterprise can develop products that give decision makers timely and secure access to high quality data.

As a core member of the data architectural leadership team, you will be key to our data architectural governance, reviewing and refining data architectural outputs from individual Defence organisations, and acting as formal reviewer through your role as member of the Data Architectural Reference Authority, with a specific focus on data management technology. Head of Enterprise Security Architecture

National Highways have an exciting career opportunity to join us as Head of Security Architecture. Reporting directly into the Chief Security Officer you will oversee and lead the provision of security architecture services to change initiatives, aligning and coordinating with wider architecture governance functions to advise on and deliver a comprehensive enterprise (IT) and operational technology (OT) security architecture which reduces both the probability and impact of a cyber attack against to National Highways.

• Provides engineering support for a wide range of garrison projects, including design and review, construction field representation, project development and management, and contracting support.
• Administers, manages, directs, and supports the Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for the multimillion-dollar Base Operations (BASOPS) Maintenance Contract of the Division.
• Represents the requirements and priorities of the operations and maintenance functional area in overall Public Works planning and programming.

What We Need from You…

We need a Data Solution Architect who understands the challenges of modern software development and exploiting data in a complex enterprise. Ideally, you will have previous career experience in software engineering or solution architecture and will be well-placed to define and sell your vision to engineers, architects, and product owners alike.

What you'll bring…

• Excellent knowledge of the data technology of complex enterprise systems, modern cloud-hosted data solutions, integration patterns, DevOps, and data and event stream technologies and broad experience with in-house and vendor-written applications.

• Ability to support negotiations to gain agreement from senior stakeholders, seeing the big picture and translating business priorities into technical solutions

• Experience working on multiple products simultaneously and understanding the relationships between them.

• Understanding of risk management concepts and how to factor this into work prioritization models.

I have a design and manufacturing client who is seeking a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing innovative engineering solutions, from the initial concept through to production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, manufacturing, and quality engineers, to ensure designs meet technical specifications, cost requirements, and product functionality.

Key Responsibilities: -
Design and Development: Create detailed 2D and 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
Conceptualization: Develop creative design solutions based on product requirements, user needs, and engineering constraints.
Prototyping: Work with prototyping teams to develop and test physical models, ensuring the design meets performance, durability, and safety standards.

Proven experience in product design, mechanical design of Architectural Hardware product.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and engineering standards.
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) is an advantage.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred knowledge: -
