Duties and Responsibilities: Audit and Guidelines Facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of clinical guidelines across the Womens Directorate. To ensure the Directorate is aware of National and Regional guideline changes in practice that may influence local guideline development, to ensure practice remains up to date & evidence based To ensure a robust repository of guidelines within the Directorate is monitored and maintained, to provide assurance to the Division that the guidelines are up to date and in line with current practice. Work with the audit midwife to facilitate the clinical audit programme within the Directorate incorporating local and national audit requirements that support clinical effectiveness. work with the audit midwife in the facilitation of the development of Clinical Audit & Effectiveness activity plans, assisting the Trust Clinical Audit Team. Participate in inter professional working to ensure annual audit programmes incorporate audit and effectiveness projects to meet the organisations governance objectives. This will include: using national benchmarking data e.g., Royal College Guidelines, NICE recommendations, NCEPOD, NMPA, NHSLA and CQC outcomes and regulations. Consult and provide advice to clinical staff on the design and development of proposed audit projects. This may include advice on selecting topics to audit, carrying out literature searches, advising on the appropriate audit methodology in order to promote the completion of the clinical audit cycle. Work with the audit midwife and create appropriate systems and processes for the collection of the data for the audit projects. Provide written and verbal reports and presentations of completed audit projects and current status of guidelines to the relevant multi-professional groups. Support the Governance Team in its work plan to demonstrate compliance with CQC, CNST, Ockenden and other regulatory bodies requirements. To summarise completed audit reports for presentation to relevant meetings within the department and directorate. Support audit project leads in the monitoring of action implementation. Provide support to staff in development of new guidance and alteration to existing guidelines to meet requirements. Communicate with Departmental Managers on clinical issues related to practice. Support line managers in the effective and efficient use and management of resources. Contribute to dissemination of information relating to audit and quality governance across relevant staff groups. Evaluate the clinical audit training and education needs across the organisation, in conjunction with the Governance Team. Work with the Trust library and the Academy to ensure research and clinical effectiveness material is accessible locally to clinical staff and team members. Liaise with other agencies for the purpose of information exchange on audit and related quality activities. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Promote an evidence-based learning culture through the use of clinical audit and up to date guideline used in clinical practice. Undertake delegated activities relating to Quality Governance including but not limited to: Participation and record keeping of governance meetings and activities Maintain governance databases Participate in service improvement projects. Patient Experience To develop and maintain a co-produced maternity user experience improvement plan. To co-ordinate the completion of all patient experience projects within the directorate as per service improvement plan To present findings of patient experience projects undertaken at MVP and directorate meetings To attend and participate in maternity directorate meetings as appropriate Act as a resource for staff in both the hospital and community setting Contribute to the directorates Effective Handover Huddles, sharing feedback on patient experience projects undertaken, progress on the compliance with guidelines, quality improvement plan and changes in practice resulting from audit. Prepare monthly progress reports for the maternity services directorate team to ensure compliance with guidelines Provide monthly progress information for inclusion in the directorates maternity safety report to be presented to Trust Board. Develop IT systems and spreadsheets to maintain accurate records of all patient information leaflets, undertaken within the directorate and with service users Communicate with key leads to maximise the potential for the successful implementation of the evidence based guidelines reflecting National Standards & recommendations. Provide timely, accurate progress reports to all stakeholders in relation to guideline & audit activity across the maternity Directorate. In collaboration with other senior midwives/ nurses, managers and clinical leads, contribute to providing oversight of guideline and audit recommendations to improve the safety of women/birthing people, and babies. Work closely with the Governance Lead, Governance Manager, Director and Associate Director of Midwifery, Deputy Head of Midwifery, Matrons, the LMNS, MVP, Clinical Lead and Midwives prioritising workloads which may include undertaking training, audit and guideline development to aid implementation of key national projects for example Saving Babies Lives and attend relevant study days as required. Work closely with the Divisional Governance Lead, Governance Manager the Midwifery/ Nursing Clinical education team for Education and Development. Ensure that the womans voice is clear within any service developments, seeking opinion and views on any changes. Information Resources/Quality To acquire data for PICU database by interrogating both paper and IT systems in order to extract relevant information on PICU in accordance with data protection and confidentiality policies, taking all reasonable steps to follow up missing data. Review and audit SLAM and PCCMDS coding data on a monthly basis, supporting with income recovery. Work with the PICU team to ensure the service is compliant with recommended national datasets, completing and submitting data on a quarterly basis. Serco Global Internal Audit (GIA) provide an objective and independent review of the design and operation of risk management, control and governance processes operated across the Group. GIA also adds value by providing advice to the business on improvements they can make to those processes. We're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Audit Manager to join our team facing into model risk. This is an exciting high-profile opportunity to deliver independent assurance and opinion on a key strategic priority for the Bank.

The TSB Internal Audit team has c. 50 colleagues based across London, Edinburgh and Barnwood. As an integral part of the team, you’ll forge excellent relationships with senior stakeholders, developing a great understanding of their business and provide them with valuable insight on their governance, risk management and control environment. As well as delivering high quality and impactful audits you’ll also help shape the annual audit plan and drive continuous improvement within the department.

How you’ll make a difference
The Audit Manager is responsible for leading increasingly large or complex audits, maintaining good quality, time, and budget standards. You will make a difference in your role by contributing to the strategic thinking and direction of the audit team and play an important role in shaping parts of the annual audit plan.

What you’ll bring

- Prior experience of leading assurance work, preferably within financial services.
- The ability to comfortably work with quantitative topics such as data analysis and statistics. An understanding of the key risks and controls throughout the model lifecycle including data, development, implementation, monitoring, and model use would be beneficial. However, we are willing to work with you in developing your model risk knowledge.
- Existing knowledge, or a willingness to learn about, regulatory requirements for model risk management, credit risk models (IRB and IFRS9), forecasting and stress testing models.
- A critical thinker who can positively influence others to think differently.
- A collaborative team player with a growth mindset and an appetite to learn and develop.
- Strong planning and organisational skills, proven ability to deliver to timelines, experience with managing, prioritising, and delivering multiple tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience of delivering potentially challenging messages to senior management. Attention to detail is a key skill required to be successful in this role.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills.

This role is an ideal fit for a Qualified Accountant, ideally with an ACA qualification and training in a large firm. Further to this, experience of transfer pricing, intercompany and FX experience would be highly beneficial.

Your new role
As an Audit Senior in the busy London team, you will be working with a mixed client base, duties and responsibilities for a typical day-to-day are listed below:

• Prepare draft accounts and reviewing audit working papers of junior members of the team during fieldwork;
• Lead fieldwork teams on larger or higher risk audit clients;
• Identify key audit risks based on the background knowledge, thorough research, preliminary results and discussions with the client, and ensure appropriate work is done to address those;
• Being the first point of contact for the client whilst on-site and ensure any remaining queries are dealt with promptly even after the fieldwork has ended;
• Identify any areas of weakness in the clients system & controls and making reasonable recommendations for improvements;
• Keep the manager informed of any issues that arise with the client
• Discuss/agree any potential audit journals with the client during fieldwork;
• Raise any potential time overruns with the manager as they are identified;
• Be responsible for clearing review points and addressing any follow up queries until the date the audit report is signed.
• Maintain and develop technical ability by attending webinars and keeping abreast of technical development;

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, this Top 20 Chartered Accountants is ideally looking for someone who is Newly Qualified (ACA/ACCA/equivalent), they would also be open to those who are currently within a training contract (3 papers or fewer remaining) who are looking to take on more responsibility in the team. Below are some of the other key skills and attributes that this firm is looking for:

• Recent audit experience within a UK Chartered Accountants, including working with a wide range of clients - some accounts prep experience is also desirable
• Experience leading audits from planning to completion, including a small team reporting into you on engagements
• Good working knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards and any IFRS experience would be a bonus
• Ideally, you will have strong software skills, including the Microsoft packages and Pro-Audit.
• Strong communication skills
