Education - St. JohnsDerm Academy This role involves contributing to the conception of educational initiatives, overseeing the content and helping with the organisation and delivery of multiple dermatology education courses for health professionals. It involves working with the events and administrative team to deliver high quality, educational courses that are evidence-based and focused to the various healthcare providers who attend. It will also involve developing innovative online educational resources and management of social media accounts. You will provide support and teaching for the postgraduate Masters in Clinical Dermatology (MSc) course (Kings College London and St Johns Institute of Dermatology) Medical Dermatology As a senior clinical fellow, you will be fully integrated into the multi-disciplinary medical dermatology team. Clinical responsibilities will be delivered primarily in an outpatient based and ambulatory care setting. You will receive general and sub-specialty dermatology training. You will undertake 2.5 tertiary dermatology clinics per week and 0.75 general dermatology clinics per week (i.e. 3 general dermatology clinics per month). The tertiary dermatology clinics will comprise weekly specialist eczema and psoriasis clinics, and a third specialist clinic on alternate weeks based on your area of interest such as (but not exclusive to) immunobullous disease, skin lymphoma, photobiology, hair or paediatric dermatology. The post holder will create a learning database (including case based learning, cartoon/video animations and competency assessments) over the 12 month period on the Pathology Portal. These will cover the key introductory concepts in solid tumour genomic testing (including tests that are already on the National Test Directory, as well as tests that are on the horizon). The Royal Free Hospital Intensive Care Department is looking for a motivated Senior Clinical Fellow who has an interest in Education and Simulation to enhance our current teaching and training programme.

This post would be ideal for a candidate wishing to gain experience in Intensive care medicine and the recognition and management of the critically ill patient. You will be well supported by our dedicated team of ICU Consultants.

The total throughput of patients is in excess of 2,000 per year. Senior medical cover is provided by a large team of consultants, who provide a 24-hour cover worked in blocks to provide continuity of care.

We would welcome candidates who have at least two years of accredited core medical or anaesthetic training to the level of CT2 or equivalent. Candidates will be expected to have passed the MRCP examination or the Primary FRCA. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in medical education and previous experience in intensive care medicine is essential.

The Royal Free Hospital Intensive Care Department is looking for a motivated Senior Clinical Fellow who has an interest in Education and Simulation to enhance our current teaching and training programme.

The Interventional Cardiology department is one of the biggest in the UK and Europe. Interventional Cardiology, along with Electrophysiology makes up one of the three clinical directorates within the Barts Heart Centre at St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The Barts Heart Centre is the biggest in the UK with its complement of 10 catherisation labs (5 of which are dedicated to Intervention) and 10 cardiothoracic theatres.



The post-holder will work within the Interventional Cardiology department and includes participation in the Heart Attack Centre rota based at the Barts Heart Centre (1 PA). The job plan will provide expert care to an expanding population of patients. The post-holder will be expected to be an independent operator for diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures, as well as having a strong background in cardiovascular prevention and education. The post-holder will contribute fully both at St Bartholomew’s Hospital and Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals (BHRUT) to the general management of cardiac patients through ward rounds and outpatient clinics. They will be required to have received full accreditation in cardiology as a trainee.



There is a consultant of the week ward responsibility from Monday to Friday which each interventional consultant at Barts participates in on a rota basis. The consultant is responsible for inpatient care and advice and guidance and review of referrals from other departments and divisions within Barts Heart Centre. The weeks routine job planned activities will be cancelled for each week the post holder is providing inpatient consultant of week responsibilities. There will be junior staff support in the form of at least 1 SPR, 2 FY2/IMT/Fellows and nursing and pharmacy support. This is at present 4 separate weeks of the year but could vary depending on the rota requirements.

Opportunities exist within all the departments to undertake research and education as a part of the Centre of Excellence Strategy of the Trusts.

There will be an expectation for the post holder to have a special interest in education and simulation within the division of intervention with a focus on medical as well as allied healthcare professional training.

This is an outline program, and the post holder will be expected to discuss and agree a detailed job plan including personal and professional objectives with the Clinical Director for Interventional Cardiology.

It is intended that the post holder will work approximately 8.0 PAs (direct clinical care) per week, and 2.0 PAs (supporting) when averaged through the year. A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and Clinical Director for Intervention, on behalf of the Medical Director.
