Instruct and evaluate AOC assigned technician personnel in advanced aerospace operations applications using current AOC weapons systems of record. Instruct and evaluate enlisted AOC specialties to become instructors. Instruct same to function within established joint doctrinal principles to support the planning and prosecution of theater level joint operations. Monitor progress during training and advise when AOC personnel are ready for positional certification. Interview assigned enlisted AOC personnel to determine operational background in their respective weapons systems/specialties. Prescribe type, sequence, and extent of required training. Perform as instructor and/or examiner, evaluating and examining AOC personnel to determine preparation for the application of aerospace force/operations, proficiency during actual operations, instructional ability, technical competence, and post operations critique. Determine progress and proficiency levels, provide requalification evaluations, and direct/provide specialized remedial or additional training as necessary.

The incumbent is responsible for the following: trending and analyzing data, interpreting Joint Commission and other external agency standards, interpreting VHA handbooks and directives regarding quality management/performance improvement/patient safety issues; collaborating with the facility Patient Safety Officer; collaborating and assisting in system redesign processes and monitoring progress of reviews and follow-action items to ensure completion in a timely manner.

Responsible to the CONR JICO in the daily execution and personnel training of the multi-TDL operation in and around the CONUS which includes working with all U.S. and Canadian military services. Responsible for conducting the continued planning, re-planning and problem resolution to establish, execute, and maintain an effective long-term CONR data link architecture and OPTASKLINK in the face of technology change, increasing amount of data link assets, and increasingly complex operational interoperability issues. Responsible to maintain an understanding of the various weapon systems' data link capabilities and limiting factors with regards to protocols, bandwidth, and message implementation. Responsible to maintain functional knowledge of AOC command and control (C2) equipment in the nee cell and HCC equipment room. This includes operations, test and training with regards to appropriate message filters, network data load, crypto, assigned frequency, and network timing. Responsible to act as the watch officer responsible for the daily operation of the nee and for providing an accurate single integrated air picture (SIAP) to all network participants in and around the CONUS to maintainairspace control and safety of flight for operational and training assets. The Accreditation and Quality Specialist (AQS) Consultant Nurse serves as a Specialist within the Accreditation & Quality Management Programs. Serves as the point of contact and primary support (logistics such as arranging workspace and meals and coordinating staff for interviews) for site visitors engaged in the accreditation process. Manages processes related to survey readiness, IPEC monitors, SAIL data, EPRP data, tracers, chart reviews, and environment of care surveillance. As a ASOC Interface & Procedural Control Instructor, GS-2101-11 you will:

Perform the full range of WG-5823-10 duties and responsibilities. Possess the knowledge and skills found at the journey level as well as those required for planning, accomplishing, and maintaining a functional shop maintenance program.

Plan and lay out work to be accomplished in the shop, which is then completed by the incumbent and lower graded mechanic(s). Independently determine appropriate maintenance procedures such as how and when the work should be accomplished. Estimate manpower, equipment and material requirements.
