We are looking to recruit a Mentoring Programme Co-ordinator that will work to expand The Salvation Army’s Starfish programme across the East Cynefin* within the Wales Division. Starfish is a mentoring programme designed to work with children and young people in schools, aged 9-16 years. Working within a school’s student wellbeing support, Starfish provides committed and trusted adults (mentors) to work with young people who need Early Help without which they would be at risk of not meeting their full potential. Their identified needs may relate to their health, educational or social development.
*The East Cynefin is the South East Region of Wales currently containing expressions of the Salvation Army in Abergavenny, Abertillery, Cwm, Cwmbran, Newport, Pontypool & Risca.
Key Responsibilities:

Establish and grow the Starfish Schools Mentoring Programme within local primary and secondary schools ensuring efficient and effective delivery and monitoring.
Recruit and support volunteer Starfish mentors from the local Salvation Army corps and other churches in line with Salvation Army volunteer and Safe & Sound guidelines.
Support and supervise volunteer coordinators / mentors including identifying and facilitating relevant training.
Oversee all pupil referrals to the programme, ensuring all relevant information and reports are submitted to schools. Attending multi-agency meetings when required.
Provide one-to-one mentoring with pupils to increase participation in education, with a focus around emotional health and wellbeing including personal development and life skills, guided by a Trauma Informed Practice approach.

The successful candidate(s) will have:-

A degree with relevant qualification in children’s or youth work qualification and/or extensive experience of working with children and youth in education ages 9-16 and or in the wider community. Applicants with transferable / relevant skills will also be considered.
Knowledge of issues affecting young people (e.g. education, poverty, mental health) creative and cultural landscape.
Excellent people skills with extensive experience in managing staff, volunteers and working with children and young people (individuals and groups).
Ability to create and run age-appropriate positive mentoring activities.
The credibility, confidence and skills to represent The Salvation Army appropriately and professionally in a variety of settings and be able to develop strong and effective partnership opportunities and relationships that will extend the reach and impact of the Starfish programme across a wide area.
Experience conducting effective monitoring and evaluation to increase effectiveness.

The National Operations Service is being set up to support the NHSE Multi-Cancer Blood Test Screening Pilot through the provision of 3 main operational functions: Demand Management Team (local recruitment): will support the invitation of the selected population cohort, ensuring that capacity and demand is optimised. Call Centre Team (local recruitment): will manage all booking and query calls for participants and public accessing the call centre. Clinical Team (national recruitment): Will support the call centre with clinical queries from participants; will manage abnormal results, including contacting the participant and ensuring the onward referral into secondary care for diagnostic testing; provide referral safety netting and support local Trusts within the pilot areas with referrals. The National Operations Service Programme Director will: lead and manage all staff in the National Operations Service be responsible for engaging Operations Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Admin and Project Support managers and other senior staff in the complex management and clinical agenda including the preparation of operational performance and quality updates and plans to develop capacity and capability to deliver on NHSE priorities. be responsible for the development of capacity and capability of the call centre, invitations, clinical and admin teams to deliver the programme objectives and priorities. be accountable to the clinical director and NHSE for the delivery of all key operational, performance, quality and safety, financial and workforce targets be responsible for managing the relationship with NHSE throughout the pilot, attending NHSE Galleri Testing Programme Board, providing quality and performance reports as required and supporting the wider objectives of the screening pilot. be responsible for providing clinical support to local trusts engaged in the pilot See Job Description for further detail.

Your new job as a Construction Client Service Director will be working for a specialist Independent Lloyd's Insurance Broker with offices based around the UK to include the City, Watford and the Southeast who provide, unparallel services to meet client demands and needs. They have more than 100 staff across the offices and are looking to expand that number further. Due to substantial growth within the Construction team a position for a Construction Client Service Director with UK Construction ( CAR) and related risks has arisen.


Your new role
Your new role will be working as Construction Client Service Director based within their London offices will be hybrid working 3 days in the office, (the rest from home) . You will be responsible for fully servicing a book of Construction clients, as well as try to encourage growth plans for your allocated client portfolio by cross selling new and renewal business. Dealing with your clients from inception to completion alongside Account Executives and Account Handlers. Your new role will also include developing and enhancing relationships with key insurers and underwriters and work closely with the other divisions in forging long-term relationships with existing and new clients. This role will also include advising on existing products. This is an all-encompassing Client Director role which is very client centric and will require your Technical and Account management experience to work as part of an established Construction team in looking after your allocated clients and helping to grow the business,

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Senior Construction Account Executive or Client Director with CAR experience will contribute to your success in securing this role. Experience of working to multiple priorities and working across a range of tasks Educated to Good standards ( i.e. A Level or equivalent) or enough experience in a previous role to demonstrate suitable skills and ideally minimum Cert CII qualified.
