Association of Resource & Education for Autistic Children (Lions REACh) is a service-based organization which provides free educational programmes and services for persons with autism and their families. We are a group of dedicated people who work together with parents to help children with autism improve their development (self help skills, mental development, social skills, speech & communication skills, motor skills) and achieve independence in their daily living. Lions REACh offers a total of 20 programs and 9 services for the persons with autism. We work towards a “family-like” structure at our centre where parents and teachers are involved in the programmes together with the children. We hope children with autism can live with the community normally like everyone. We are looking for individuals with enthusiasm, drive and passion to teach and guide our special needs children.

Frequently Asked Questions

If I am not a Australian citizen, can I apply for jobs in Australia?

If you don't have a Australian citizenship, but are living in Australia or if you are planning to move to Australia and are looking for jobs that can sponsor you, it is up to each individual employer on how it handles international candidates.

Why I have not received any response from the company after I applied?

Have you tried following up? If you did not follow up with an email or phone call, how do you determine if the company received your job application? Enquire where they are in the review process and and then ask if they received your submission. While it would be great to receive a response from the company, sometimes it doesn’t happen. Take the initiative to follow to ensure your application has been received.

How long does it take to complete the application?

The period of the application process will vary, depending on the type of job you are applying for and your previous employment experience.

What position levels are available for applying?

There are 6 position levels and each level can be associated with a salary range and different types of job titles. Jobs levels can be categorised into: non-executive, fresh/entry level, junior executive, senior executive, manager and senior manager.

How many types of jobs are there?

Within Jobstore, there are hundreds of variations of jobs. Read through the job descriptions to find out about the typical responsibilities and employers for each job, so you can see what’s involved and who might employ you.

I need experience to get a job, but how do I get a job to get experience?

You can certainly obtain expertise without working in a certain sector full-time, albeit it may take a little extra work. And of course, there's nothing wrong with some good ol' networking.

How do I avoid making the common interview mistakes?

One of the worst mistakes you can make, aside from the obvious ones like being late or using unprofessional language or being messy or unclean, is not being well-prepared.

Don't forget to bring all of the relevant resources, including your résumé, portfolio, and a notepad. You can also prepare your answers in advance by researching the company's industry, competitors, and CEO.
