The ROLE

The Housekeeping Team Leader Role

Working as an integral member of the Care Team you will work towards providing a high quality, safe and supportive environment to care for residents in the service. The role can be both physically and mentally demanding, the ideal candidate will be expected to understand, implement and oversee the housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures & Documentation. Facilitate guidance and mentorship of Housekeeping staff within the service, as well as implementing and overseeing the Laundry operating procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team within the service

The Role:

Being aware of language and cultural difficulties and dealing with these in a sensitive and appropriate manner. Prepare dental instruments, equipment, drugs, materials ready for each case and clear away used items when treatment has finished. Monitor the standard of all equipment in the department and report any deficiencies or problems to the Dental Nurse Manager. Follow LOCCIP guidelines and checks. Maintain the highest standard of infection control and adhering to Corporate Policies including Health & Safety and Cross Infection Control. Stock and check the emergency trolleys within the department on a daily basis. Check all equipment is fully operational and all drugs are in date. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to the Data Protection Act at all times. Assist with the collection, labelling and despatch of specimens, study models and dental work to the laboratories and deal with any enquiries. Ensure treatment and communication recognises individual patient needs. Check and maintain stock levels of sterile supplies including dental instruments, hand pieces, burs and other specialist instruments and equipment. Liaise with the Central Sterile Service Department to ensure adequate sterile supplies are always available. Dispose of hazardous or toxic waste materials in accordance with appropriate guidelines and protocols. Participate in the effective management of patients who have undergone a medical emergency.

Secretarial responsibilities Provide secretarial and administrative support to General Manager, Managing Director, and Senior Clinical team for Planned Care at Queen Marys Hospital Sidcup, attend and take minutes for divisional, SEL and Senior Team meetings. Provide a full secretarial service and be the point of contact for DGT in relation to Oxleas communication. Maintain the General Manager and Managing Director diary. This includes a daily planning meeting, organising Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) and external agency meetings, booking rooms, sending calendar invitations to the MDT including Teams invitations and taking minutes of meetings where appropriate. Act promptly in regards to responses and requests at Divisional level or from other agencies such as SEL. Escalate appropriately any queries sent to DGT via Oxleas, this would include, complaints, enquiries, booking of meeting rooms, arranging and participating in tours of the site. Organise meetings, including the booking of rooms, sending invitations and taking minutes. Managing parking permits for DGT staff and keeping a record and informing finance of the cost. Deal with telephone call enquiries effectively, exercising judgement when dealing with patient enquiries. Also record voice mail messages and take appropriate action. The ROLE
Due to continued expansion of their European Headquarters an opportunity has arisen for a talented Applications Engineer /Technical Engineer to join their team specialising in rentals of vapour combustion units, incinerators and flares. Focusing on technical support through applications solutions, proposals creation, technical support (both office and customer facing) and through supporting the whole process. You will be responsible for;

* Gain an understanding of customer's technical requirements
* Building good sound customer relationships
* Assist with preparing technical and commercial proposals for customers
* Proposal/"loose fit" design
* Following up on proposals and attending clarification meetings
* Presenting both internally and to customer's at their location
* Internal project support
* Visiting established and potential customer plant. This will involve foreign travel
