• Responsible for the processing of Veteran claims reimbursements utilizing BTSSS which provides a more veteran-focused experience for beneficiary travel reimbursements, allowing claimants to submit and track travel claims at their convenience.
• Process Veteran claims reimbursements via paper submission and work towards increase efficiency and accuracy in claims processing, provide letters to noncompliant claims that include rejections codes.
• Reviews requests for reimbursement of travel costs for assuring compliance with regulations and procedures, completeness, accuracy, internal consistency, and agreement with basic authorization.
• The employee will have regular and recurring contact with personnel external to the agency for the obtainment of services, sharing of information and authorization, clarification, or denial of payment.
• Works closely with the Supervisor, keeping channels of communication open on a daily basis.

This Transportation Security Officer position is located in Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSOs) within Security Operations (SO), you will provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.
• Performing searches and screening, which may include physical interaction with passengers (e.g., pat-downs, search of property, etc.), conducting bag searches and lifting/carrying bags, bins, and property weighing up to 50lbs.
• Controlling terminal entry and exit points.

SSC Coordinator performs work of broad scope and complexity with a high degree of independence. Provides the highest organizational level of technical support associated with analyzing, designing, developing, installing, repairing, fabricating, maintaining, modifying or evaluating the most complex systems for which the FAA is responsible.

Incumbent is recognized as the technical expert on legacy and newly developed systems within a large facility or multiple facilities over a large geographical area. Work requires maintaining technical expertise on complex systems and/or emerging technology, systems interrelationships and management of the NAS.

Responsibilities include the integration, restoration, testing and evaluation of new advanced service or service components, hardware/software systems and processes. Performs a variety of functions directly relating to the operation of the NAS. Responsible for all aspects of SSC projects from initial planning, drawing and specifications review, implementation, JAI, and disposition of assets. Acts as SSC point of contact for all projects completed locally or by outside contractors.

Identifies requirements to accomplish projects and tracks the use of project resources. Provides training, mentoring, guidance and advice to FAA employees, contractors, and other organizations as needed. Uses technical expertise and understanding of user and stakeholder needs to prioritize SSC workload. Integrates Operational Risk Management (ORM) into all planned activities ensuring all customers and users are included in implementation and planning.

This Lead Transportation Security Officer position is located at Rogue Valley International-Medford (MFR), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Lead Transportation Security Officer (LTSO), you will be responsible for leading at least three full-performance level Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) and, as assigned, trainee and apprentice level TSOs. As an LTSO, you will identify, distribute, and balance workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow and skill level. You will make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Providing input to supervisors and managers concerning a variety of human resources matters including, but not limited to, employee performance, promotions, reassignments, awards, etc.
