Main duties and responsibilities
You will undertake teaching and assessment in engineering and technology modules, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, across all Engineering programmes. You will also support learning through design and development of course materials including online content and undertaking necessary tutorial, laboratory and administrative activities.
You will be expected to contribute actively to research interests of the school and develop short courses, commercial and KTP related activities in the school. You will supervise postgraduate research projects and apply for external funding to support research and commercial activities.
Skill and experience required
You must have experience of working in the subject area within Higher Education or in a relevant sector. In addition to this, you will need proven experience of teaching and tutoring at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level. You will have demonstrable proven experience in industrial, academic or research in at least two of the below areas:
• Manufacturing Engineering (also known as Production or Industrial Engineering)
• Project Management
• Lean manufacturing systems
• Quality Management and Quality Assurance Systems in Manufacturing

Our client is a trusted partner of the UK's Ministry of Defence, and they are currently seeking a highly skilled Electrical Manufacturing Technician with extensive experience in the field. The selected candidate will be responsible for various tasks, including assembly, inspection, and testing. They will receive clear direction from a knowledgeable team leader regarding the priorities associated with these functions.

To be an Electrical Manufacturing Technician, one must have a versatile and flexible skillset and be able to certify products. The candidate should be skilled in using a variety of equipment, tools, gauges, and measuring instruments to create, fix, and alter company products to meet specified build standards and requirements.

What you'll get to do as an Electrical Manufacturing Technician:

The candidate is expected to have experience in electrical wiring and assembly and a versatile skill set applicable to various tasks. They should be familiar with manufacturing equipment, tools, and measuring instruments and be able to meet manufacturing build, inspection, and test time requirements. The candidate should uphold high craftsmanship standards and product quality, ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures, prioritise maintaining a safe working environment, and share best practices with team members. Additionally, they should be able to certify products according to the certification procedure and conduct regular audits to maintain product certification and approval.
